Hi, does anyone know of a way to reset a default application on an Android Plus device via a script? We're using Android KitKat on TC55's. Some users have accidentally clicked the wrong app and selected 'Always'. As the wrong app is on the blacklist it fails to open. Rather than remote onto each device and clear the default in the settings, I wondered if I could clear and then set the correct app via a script? In the meantime, I'm going to have to remove the 'wrong' app from the blacklist. Thanks.

I was considering looking at Android One devices to simplify things, however I was wondering if there were any brands or models that worked particularly well with Mobicontrol? Hi I'm having issue to stop the device (SM-T395 Android 7.1.1) from running Chrome when MobiControl Lockdown is enabled. The following package has been added into application run control blacklist. com.android.chrome But the users still can launch Chrome via Google Maps. (click on the restaurant, find the website and chrome will pop up.) Is there any workaround to stop the device from running Chrome on it? Android Plus Agent 13.6.0.1257 MobiControl 14.3.4.1087
Hello, Could someone please tell me how to launch the MobiControl agent via script ? Hello, We've got a customer with Android 5.1.1 and Android 9 Samsung Galaxy Tab Active or Tab Active2-tablets and we're having a lot of trouble with a certain network provider abroad. The tablets automatically choose this provider (roaming is active) since it seems to have the best coverage, yet certain connections will still get blocked. Calling and sending text messages works perfectly fine, but sending simple .gif files through our own application already proves to be difficult. Sadly, MobiControl will lose all connectivity. Our own current provider can't do much to help, other than to keep complaining to the foreign provider. We've changed our own application to withhold certain files until a different network is chosen, but with users spending a lot of time in this country this isn't a truly viable option. These tablets are running in Lockdown mode and the users aren't permitted to change other settings than the MobiControl Settings Manager has to offer (volumes, display, bluetooth, wifi). But, if they were able to alter settings, they'd be able to manually forcefully change the active network to whatever else there's in range. As soon as a different network is chosen, all connectivity restores. Now, my question to you: Do you know of any shortcut or intent with which we can add a button to the lockdown screen which in turn leads to the option to manually select a network? Hello all, We work with mobicontrol in version v13.3.0.3454 we have some tablet Panasonic FZ B2 on android 4.4 who works since many years. Since several days and i don't know why we have all device connected on wifi xxxx who connect and disconnect after some second .. each time.. Looks at the picture. The client mobicontrol on these device is -> v13.3.3.1010 for some and for some other is 13.6.0.1664 but all tablet Panasonic have this problem ... Anyone has idea about how i can advance in this problem ? I have restart the device but nothing change and also create a version 2 of the wifi profile and assign them but nothing change. The people who works with these device tell me that the device has never change of location ... thanks in advance
Hi Running 14.1.4 On Android+ you had the option within Feature Control to disable airplane mode. There appears to be no such option within Android Enterprise Feature Control Is there a script to do the same thing I can utilise? Also is there a way (A+ and AE) to hide/disable the ability to switch off Mobile Data. Thanks

I'm on a 13.3.0.3851 version of MC (agent 13.3.3.1010) (Note : I have the same issue on a 14.3.3.1111 version of MC with AE DO but this specific case is currently under investigation by the SOTI support.) My client has On Premise installation, and i use enrollment URL & their close network to enroll the device to MC. Their device is Honeywell CT50 and i enroll it to A+. one strange thing is, 2 device can't enroll to the MC after i wrote down the enrollment URL in MC apps (while use close network). So i change the network, i use the WiFi, and suddenly it works, the device enroll to MC. It make me confuse since it's on Prem, so i dont think the open network can read the server. is there any particular thing that i need to check? the device going well, nothing happened after the enrollment, but i just want to share it here to prevent some future problem. I have two Zebra VC80X devices that I deleted from the management console and performed a factory reset on each. Now when I try to re-enroll them with MobiControl Stage they are both getting a "Duplicate Device ID" error and they won't enroll. I checked and rechecked that the devices have been deleted from the management console so I'm at a loss as to why it keeps saying Duplicate Device ID. Please help.
We have just recently upgraded MobiControl from 14.2 to 14.4. After the upgrade, some users reported that were getting below error when trying to remote to devices. Anyone knows what could be the issue?

For this, i have done a rules who execute a mxconfig file -> that's work fine i just schedule the job. I would like to execute this rule when a device is add to a folder. How i can do this ? thanks

If the section does not exist, it will be created.
