We are looking at providing phones to run a very simple web app, so the requirements for the device are very low.
I was considering looking at Android One devices to simplify things, however I was wondering if there were any brands or models that worked particularly well with Mobicontrol? For example, having the most compatible features, allowing easy deployment, etc

The Samsung J3 (available with 4G or WiFi only) has worked great for us. It runs Android 9 and performs basic tasks with ease. It didn't work in our intended deployment but I still use the devices for testing because its cheap and convenient to keep several in my desk drawer, compared to Honeywell CN80 or other similar full sized handhelds.
