Has anyone else had problems enrolling Huawei MediaPad T3 using the agent “Huawei Mate” When I try to enroll, it says the agent is not compatible. Thanks
Has anyone setup their Android devices to be able to download .PDF files from their intranet SharePoint site? When I try to navigate using SOTI Surf, I'm presented with a log in. I'm able to log into the intranet sharepoint site and navigate. However, when I try to click a link that invokes downloading a .PDF; I have a viewer installed to open and view, I receive a message that says, "Download Failed". Has anyone ran into this issue and if so, how do you remedy this? I don't have SOTI ERG or HUB installed. Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you, Trav
Hi, We are having issues enrolling devices to MobiControl version 14.1.0.1152 using any of the apps in the PlayStore. When we enter the enrollment ID the Connection To Server spins for a minute then errors saying there is no connection. We had no issues before when enrolling older devices... The Mobicontrol for Samsung app says it only supports devices running Os 6.0 or below, we have devices running 7.0 that we need to enroll. We are currently having to install TeamViewer, to transfer the device agent apk manually and then install manually. Using TeamViewer defeats the object of us having MobiControl. Please help.
We have a project in which we need to allow the user to access one app to start but then open other apps from it. Using the Single App Mode under security & restrictions within MobiControl allows for the iOS device to be put in the correct mode but you cant open any other apps. We have tried using the Single App Mode Whitelist setting under Security & Restrictions > Restrictions > Applications > Single App Mode > List with no success. Do we need to modify anything in our app to allow it to open other apps from the whitelist when in Single App Mode? For example our use case is we have developed a customer iOS app made for hotels that will run in Single App Mode. From our app we want to launch Spotify, Netflix and other apps without exposing the iOS dashboard. As a note when we disable Single App Mode profile we can launch other apps from our application. The blocker is trying to launch other apps while in Single App Mode.
We want to have more apps display in the Lockdown page, is it possible to customize the Lockdown template to display more than 1 page? That said, scroll to the right and display more apps on the second page.
Hello I did a new installation with the latest release of 13.4 and I foud a series of issues, the most important is that there are not android agents in the DB In the add rule for android+, in the download agent tab shows nothing. I've already run the installer with -UpdateDB Please help !
In the device configurations view, you can view the applied profiles on a device but if you want to Force Reinstall the Profile, you have to scroll all the way to the right of that device window and it just feels a little clunky and unnecessary in comparison to the right-click Force Reinstall of 13.x. I'd like to suggest to either give the user the ability to re-arrange those Profiles columns, similar to the Device Columns View, or either move the ellipsis icon on the far left column so the users don't need to scroll to find that hidden button. I prefer the former. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing some user experience improvement around the 14.x device UI. ;]
This was on a (multiple) Zebra WT6000 non-GMS running the latest of Lollipop/MX. Right after enrollment into 14.1, my device would startup the MobiControl Agent app on the device and then the app would close, showing "MobiControl has stopped". I've been getting this consistently on all of my WT6000s. Sometimes relaunching the Agent will work but I had one instance where the device showed the agent and the stage app still installed and I had to uninstall the agent and re-enroll the device using stage. Anyone see this before? Upgraded Agent is 13.5.0 Build 1327 Thanks, Ben
I try to install SOTI MDM Plugin for Ruggear RG740B. I downloaded the corresponding enterprise package from www.soti.net/oem, imported it as package to mobicontrol and added/assigned a profile to install the plugin on the device. When the profile is applied, installation failes and the following error is thrown in the device log: Package "EnterprisePlugin_RG730_RG740" version 1.0 failed to install. File IO error on device For reference, I created a package from a standard Android APK and deployed it to the same device. Installation went without issue. Any help is appreciated!
With DEP enabled for iOS devices (iPhones mainly), how can we enable the iOS feature of Do Not Disturb While Driving automatically? Furthermore, make it enabled and unable to change the setting? We have a fleet of drivers and want to turn this on to further cement in our driving policy of no calls while the vehicle is moving.
Hi, we are working with the API of mobicontrol/soti and that works great. There is only 1 think i can't find: we want to Remote Control an Android device by clicking on 1 button from our own application. Does anybody know if this is possible? Example (i hope): https://sXXXXXXX.mobicontrolcloud.com/MobiControl/DeviceManagement/GetRemoteControlSharedDataHtml5?DeviceId=123456789abc Thanks for your reply
Hello there, Recently attempting to upgrade Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 to Android Nougat. However noticed the release notes per Zebra website info below: Installation Requirements Download both Full Package and Reset Packages (Optional) Note1: Using External SD card update is NOT Supported via SOTI MDM Note2: When switching between GMS and NGMS BUILD • After Installing Full Package Update, you need to Install Factory OR Enterprise Reset. Are there an new forum articles discussing if a GSM can be done OTA w/ SOTI MDM.... even if told not supported? Unless using ADB Sideload or SD is the best option to upgrade Marshmallow 6.0.1 to Android Nougat..... I have over 100 Zebra TC75x to do. Any help would be great appreciated. ZorroCOHIT
Hello, I am trying to create groups on Mobicontrol through API and I did create a json file for multiple groups. It is working when I post to MobiControl/api/devicegroups/ and body contains { "Name": "group A", "Path": "\\\\Root\\Groups\\Group A", "Icon": "Green", "Kind": "Regular" } but it is not working when I post to MobiControl/api/devicegroups/ and body contains [{ "Name": "group A", "Path": "\\\\Root\\Groups\\Group A", "Icon": "Green", "Kind": "Regular" }, { "Name": "group B", "Path": "\\\\Root\\Groups\\Group B", "Icon": "Green", "Kind": "Regular" }] I am getting back the following error message. { "$type": "ErrorDetails", "ErrorCode": 0, "Message": "Contract validation failed", "Data": [ "deviceGroup: Error parsing value" ], "HelpLink": null} Is there any way to create multiple groups at once through the API? I am just wonder if the body has to be different when trying to create more than 1 group at once. Thank you.
Can you adjust the default list of Device Actions? I like having quick accessibility to some actions like Remote Control and Send Script but would want to hide Delete and Unenroll and some of the other options. Can you adjust this list of Actions at all?
This is kind of a shot in the dark but here goes: We recently updated MobiControl and we've had a few issues but mostly they've been worked out. We've had to create a few packages from scratch but there are a handful of devices that when we try and push the updated package out to them it fails. I looked int the log file and got this message: "Package "New Inv" version 1.0 failed to install. Installation aborted by install script" I've asked around and no one seems to know what the install script is or why it's failing. Like I said we have thousands of these devices that took the update no problem, it's just about 20-30 that's it's failing. They all are the same device and they all appear to have the same profiles installed. We are running Zebra MC67 scanners with Mobiles Mobile Does anyone have any ideas?
