Hi guys, I have recently purchased SOTI MobiControl to be used with Honeywell Dolphin 70E :) WMC6.5 So far so good, but I'm trying to automate as much as possible the config of these devices. Does anybody know if there is a way to automate the "regional settings": time, date, language, keyboard Thanks :)
How do I resolve this root certificate issue in a MobiControl Cloud instance?
I need to uninstall an application on 260 of my 500 Zebra MC55 Windows Mobile/CE devices. I used the search provided by the MobiControl console to specify those 260 devices. The 260 devices are all in different device groups. Deployed a package which contained the uninstall script to 1 test device via a profile and it worked without any errors. I was thinking to create a new filtered group and put all devices that need the uninstall in there but there is no way to assign a Profile to filtered or virtual groups? Whats the "best way" to target only those 260 devices and uninstall the application via a MobiControl script? Thanks! Regards, Michael
Hi, you have no idea how to install/restart APIs the remote control? The same location and installation.
Hello, is it possible to run MobiControl 14.1 on premise offline including skins? I've tried the solution provided in https://discussions.soti.net/thread/is-it-possible-to-setup-a-fully-offline-instance-of-mobicontrol-on-premise/ but it did not work for me. Thanks!
After a reboot this weekend of our 14.0.0 server the Soti MobiControl Search Service no longer starts up on the server. The message that displays is in the screenshot below but it says "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.1.2.28:9200." The IP Address 10.1.2.28 is the IP of the server hosting all of the server components for Soti. The firewall is off on the server and the Deployment Server, Database, Web Console and Search Service are all hosted on the same server. I checked netstat and the port 9200 is not in use. I also tried a second restart of the server to see if that would fix it, it didn't. Has anyone had similar issues with the search service? I'm half tempted to try the upgrade to 14.1 to see if that fixes something, but I'm worried I might make it worse.
Does anyone have experience managing Windows 10 devices via MobiControl in an environment where the devices will not be enrolled in a domain? Specifically what types on controls are available to lock the devices down, manage updates, etc?
Hi all - One our customers recently reported an issue to us where their users have a workaround for getting around our kiosk lock screen and logging into the Guest account to access YouTube, Netflix, etc... which are typically blocked via our profiles pushed out to all devices. Since I have a profile that blacklists applications pushed down to every device, why would this no hold true when switching to the Guest profile? All of the blacklisted apps appear when in Guest mode. Is there a way I can disable or prevent access to the Guest account via MobiControl? This is a huge liability as our application is used in vehicles in the logistics industry.
I would like to prevent users from adding Google accounts on their devices. The problem is that users will sometimes add an account and then neglect to log out of it when they leave or are terminated. This leaves us with a $300 paperweight since it is Google locked. Application Run Control can't prevent the Google account enrollment screen from coming up, even though I have identified the screen I would like to block. As such, I'm looking for creative solutions/work-arounds to either: 1) Prevent users from adding Google accounts. 2) A script to silently remove all Google accounts. 3) A way to identify devices with Google accounts so we can reach out to those individuals and remedy the situation.
We have Moto G5 and installed Soti enterprise. We have configured kiosk mode to run an enterprise app. In the profile tab it says its installed the kiosk profile along with the authentication profile, but nothing happens? Android v: 7.0
With Zebra TC25 enrolled in Soti MC with Android Enterprise Agent (GoogleMobiControl1350_1110.apk) I can use Rules but not Profiles - they simple do not apply onto Zebra TC25. Is it a way how to install Profiles (incl. Packages) on the TC25?
I'm working with Android devices (Zebra TC70X/75X) running OS v 7.1.2 and enrolled as Android Enterprise. Is there a way to put bookmarks in SOTI Surf on the home screen? Is this a feature that could be added? I'd like to make accessing this bookmark as easy as possible for our technicians. It would be great to have one button to tap instead of opening the browser and then having them hit the link there.
I'd like to enroll my TC25 (BSP 03-11-03-0-NG-00-M1, Patch v3) to Soti MC 13.4 or 14.1. After an enterprise reset I use a StageNow profile to connect to the Wi-Fi, download mcsetup.ini and the Soti agent (ZebraMobiControl1350_1088.apk), install Soti agent and set it as DO. Once agent is started I see the message "This device agent is incompatible with your device. Please contact your administrator". Well, am I doing something wrong? How to enroll TC25?
Hello We are testing some Motorola phones (Moto E4 Plus, G5, C,)with Android for Work Owner device . We have several issues and I would appreciate your comments on them: 1. With lockdown applied, the status bar is not visible so users may not see the battery level, signal, etc. There is not option to show it. 2. When you send a message, it does not pop up the message but instead you have to open de Mobicontrol agent to see the message (the agent is shown in the lockdown) 3.In the devices (E4Plus, G5) that do not have physical buttoms (back, home, menu) it is not possible to exit lockdown. I also found that E4Plus allows remote control. The others , remote view. Thank you
Hi Everyone, Here's the scenario. We'd like to use MobiControl on certain user desktops - no big deal. The problem is that we need the ability to prompt the customer for remote management first. In our organization, we have single-sign on which give access to LOTS of personal information. Having the ability to remotely manage a desktop while the user is logged in presents significant information security risks. Is there a way to create a rule/script that generates a user input prompt for remote management approval? This would give us the ability to ensure the user is sitting at the computer while we are remote managing it.
