Hello Is there a way to schedule an appointment for lockdown on / off?ex: lockdown when assigned to devices that operate only on certain days of the month, or during the week.I have never seen such a category in lockdown configuration, but I hope there is a solution to this problem, hope someone has the same idea as mine. Hey Guys, actually we need some Android Activities to be accessable within the Kiosk-Mode. e.g. for PTP (Picture Transfer Mode on USB Connection) So far we set this activity (com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity) at position 1 in our Lockdown-Configuration And in our Template, App #1 is hidden, so the User can't see any link for this activity. It has just to be accessable but not visible: Now I have to grant access to a few more activities. The Question now: Can I write the Launch:// Command directly inside the Lockdown-Template so I dont have to add all these activities to the lockdown Config ? I already tried to change <MCLink0> to Launch://com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity but this is not working. Maybe I have to exclude some special characters ?!? Did anyone of you solve this problem already ? Many Thanks!

I would like to know if there is a need of a "Maintenance Mode" to be set on devices via SOTI MobiControl? I was working remotely on some devices (Android) the other day and suddenly someone was fiddling around with the device causing challenges to perform some needed activities. These activities were not time consuming however due to the user interaction on that specific site we couldn't finish a task to check an issue on the device. - And I was thinking, why on earth can I not lock this device down for the end-user... Other scenarios would be if we from an central perspective ask for a short change window in a certain site to e.g. deploy one or more application updates or an longer activity in terms of updating an operating system version on devices. What do I mean by Maintenance Mode? Displaying a message on the display saying that this device is undergoing "Maintenance" and that it should be put back docked/inserted to the Charging Station if not being there already This mode shall present somewhat of a locked down state to the user in order to block the end-user to select or press any buttons to use applications that was present with or without a locked-down screen in order for the maintenance to be processed without any interruptions It shall; a) take over or be placed over a current locked-down screen b) prohibit an end-user to interrupt an administrator c) allow an Administrator remotely to check devices with the "Maintenance Mode" still being active for end-users How shall we as administrators activate Maintenance Mode? Possibility to right-click and set maintenance mode on; a) single devices b) selected several devices c) on a folder Maybe there is a solution for this already "out of the box" within Android. Then please let me know! Feel free to add to this topic. If SOTI cannot resolve this I guess they have to work with Google to resolve it in a joint operation when it comes to the Android operating system.
In our driver app, our drivers hear notification sounds for tight turns and other dangerous parts in the neighborhoods.We are using Soti as a trial now on 1 location and we see that these notifications don't play. For us its really important that these notifications do play as drivers are being judged on their driving behavior.We are using Version: 15.2.1.1094And the devices are in a lockdown profile with only maps, the dialer and our driving app.Is there a way to make this work.We see that this only happens on devices with SOTI
I am operating a Zebra TC75 running a lockdown configuration. There is an application that we need to be able to pair to a bluetooth printer from within the lockdown mode. However, when the TC75 attempts to pair with a bluetooth printer, the android system pop-up to verify and accept the bluetooth pin does not appear while in lockdown mode. The pairing function has been tested and the pop-up does appear when in admin mode, but it appears as if the pop-up is not allowed to appear during lockdown. The audible chime is still happening to signify that the pairing process has started, and there is even a notification banner at the top of the screen signifying the process needs interaction, however, the android dialog does not appear over the application like it would when not locked down. Are there any scripts or permissions that need to be granted to allow this to appear?
Hi I'm having an issue with the Microsoft Edge App in SOTIs Lockdown in native mode. As long as we do not sign in with a company sign in it works fine. But when we sign in with a o365 company/school account in edge it starts and then goes back to the lockdown screen. I've tried the identify_activity command scrips but it shows no ordinary programs running.
Sent a query to SOTI support if more macros were supported to be used in lockdown screen templates than the ones published on the link below. They got back that they were the only ones. Macros in SOTI MobiControl They pointed me to a possible suggestion of utilizing "Custom Attributes" but not sure how I could realize what I wish to achieve with that. Hardware used is both Honeywell & Zebra. For example I've gotten requests to present the OEM version and OS version on the lockdown template for maintenance purposes. Would make life much easier when you do not have access to MobiControl when checking devices on the floor. - Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful if I can resolve it when utilizing the Lockdown templates from SOTI.
Hi , We are using lockdown feature for our android plus devices and i would like to add to the screen the connection type currently in use. I found the macros to display the ip or SSID of the Wi-Fi network but i would like to display the connection type ( 4G or Wi-Fi ) . Is there any macro to do that ? Is there a list with the macros that i can use ? Thanks
Hi, i have 2 problems which i cannot solve. The device i use is a samsung galaxy x cover pro with android 10. Frist i want to fix the rotation mode to portrait. But every setting and every script doens't work. Dear all, We have an issue with the https://url command in the lockdown menu. 1. We can open the https website of the local webserver in the chrome app. 2. Using the command https://url in the lockdown menu, the scanner stay in the menu and does not open the page. 3. On the other side opening a the google address via https in the lockdown menu is working. Cert info: All required certificates are installed on android trusted certificates in the user area. System Info: TC52, android 9, mobi control 14.2, Does anybody know, what the https command in the lockdown menu is doing in the background or why it is not opening the webpage? Hi, I've been trying to setup a lockdown profile on a ck71, I want the shortcut to open a specific URL with a specific browser however it dosent seem to be working. I've tried using just a URL and I've also just trtied opening teh application but nothing seems to be working. I'm guessing its the naming convention to teh application tahts cauisng an issue I have used: \\program files\html5 browser\html5browser.exe "\\program files\html5 browser\html5browser.exe" %22\\program files\html5 browser\html5browser.exe%22 //program files/html5 browser/html5browser.exe %22//program files/html5 browser/html5browser.exe%22 outwith the lockdown screen teh application works without any issues. We have devices where we want to install a lot of profiles. My problem is, that the lockdown is installed before the other profile installations are finished. So the user cannot finish the other actions at the device, because it is in the lockdown mode. I hope u can understand my problem. Can i prioritize the sequence of the installation on the device, for example: First --> Authentification Second --> AppInstall Third --> Lockdown Thanks for your help!
