Dear all,

We have an issue with the https://url command in the lockdown menu.

1. We can open the https website of the local webserver in the chrome app.

2. Using the command https://url in the lockdown menu, the scanner stay in the menu and does not open the page.

3. On the other side opening a the google address via https in the lockdown menu is working.

Cert info: All required certificates are installed on android trusted certificates in the user area.

System Info: TC52, android 9, mobi control 14.2,

Does anybody know, what the https command in the lockdown menu is doing in the background or why it is not opening the webpage?

Thanks a lot in advance.

BR,

Jens

Hi Jens,

Thanks for posting!

As per your post, the website works on the device without lockdown enabled and it fails to open on a lockdown screen. Also, the Google page opens successfully on Lockdown, but not the URL. Can you please share the screenshot of lockdown configuration to re-confirm?

Also, please go through the below link to understand what the https command does in Lockdown.

Dear Soti,

thanks for the answer and the link with the commands.

Find below the configuration screenshot of the lockdown.

In the beginning we started the webserver without certificate (http://10.41.162.100:45108/touch) and lockdown was running fine.

Then we added the certificates to server and client and changed to https (https://10.41.162.100:45108/touch) without success from lockdown (In comparison that the google address (https://www.google.com) worked fine).

We also switched port to standard 443 using https (https://10.41.162.100/touch) also without success from lockdown.

Open the urls in Chorme was working.

Thanks,

Jens

Hi Jens,

Are you able to visit the website https://10.41.162.100:45108/touch without Lockdown on a Google Chrome on the same device?

Please share the MobiControl agent version installed on the device.

Hi Jens,

Thanks for testing.

The URL shared seems to be internal. So, can you please raise a support case(click here) or call SOTI Support team(click here) as this needs to be further troubleshooted on your server?
