Hi everyone, We are managing a fleet of Android devices (running android 11 and above) using SOTI MobiControl and are looking to enforce a security policy where only authorized devices can access a service exposed through our F5 firewall’s public IP address. The plan is to configure each device to send a unique identifier (such as Device ID, IMEI, or Serial Number) in a custom HTTP header with every request. The F5 will inspect this header and allow access only for devices with approved identifiers (using an iRule). We already had some iRules set up before Android 10 (Api level 29) when access to device Identifier was open.Is there any way to implement this? Thanks for the help.Kind Regards
Hello, Like you read in the title, we can't manage the feature “text scaling” in Soti Surf. Same problem if we manage the feature on the payload Soti Surf on Soti Mobicontrol or directly on the app Soti Surf. If i put "50%", nothing append. Regards, Chad MCT Compagny
I'm looking to find the solution to display device's serial number in lock screen.I haven't found a way to set this through SOTI MobiControl. I've tried using the profile configuration by going through Profile > New Profile > Apple > iOS > Configurations Tab > + > Lock Screen Message > (filled in footnote message) > (but it does not dynamically display Device Serial Number in Asset Tag Information) Any input would be greatly appreciated! Device: iPad 10th Generation OS: iPadOS version 18.0.1 Serial Number: X1G7T5Ik4
Hi, I had problems registering a Windows device and an error message like this appeared.
Hi, Can we use soti identity for soti mobicontrol on premise?
Hello, I'm looking for help because I can't skip the Google account request when I enroll my device through the enrollment rule (Google-managed domain enterprise binding). It's necessary for my activity that I can initially enroll the device via this rule in SOTI MobiControl without adding a Google account (so my preparation technicians can push the necessary profiles afterwards). The Google account will be added to the device at a later stage. Thanks for helpingSincerelyAntoine
Hi, I added a file sync configuration on our device, before updating to the latest version, I can see the file sync results in the servers menu -> file system manager. However, after updating to the latest version we can't find that menu, how do I see the file sync results?
Hey Guys, we are setting up offices where we want to configure devices using ZeroTouch. We have a Staging WLAN for internet access and an 802.1x WLAN for internal communication. Our goal is to bring the devices into the Staging WLAN where they receive their ZeroTouch configuration. After that, they should connect to our On-Premises Server so that Soti can issue them the WLAN certificate for the 802.1x network, enabling them to switch to the internal network. The issue we're facing is that although the devices successfully connect to the Staging WLAN and the ZeroTouch setup works, they are not establishing a connection to our Soti server. I have set up ZeroTouch on the Soti server, and I believe it's configured correctly.Soti Mobicontrol Version is 15.6.5.Is it possible to confiure the Onpremserver so, that he can communicate with the mobicontrolapp on the devices with a network, that has no access to my intern Network?best regardsFranko
Samsung Dual messenger option has disable after enroll with SOTI. any way to enable this ?
Hi, In the SOTI MobiControl the Zebra LifeGuard OTA says that it's registered but when we try to sync we get an error. Now I'm trying to see what the issue could be and for that I was looking to reset the registration but I have no clue where to change or see the Zebra LifeGuard OTA Account that was used previously. Error message in the logs: Failed to sync Zebra LifeGuard OTA enrollment status So it doesn't tell me more than this...
Hello, Our android terminals do not appear in the soti management console, but they are present in the enrollment server logs. The soti agent indeed displays a green rolled-up status, with the correct domain information. In the Mobicontrol server reports, it is clearly displayed that a new terminal is enrolled, but this one does not appear in the management console. Also the configuration does not apply to the terminal which is however noted as being enrolled. We have already managed to enroll terminals in the past but it no longer works. We tried with an android 12 version (samsung galaxy s22) and a Zebra mc93 terminal with android 10 without success Our instance of MobiControl, is on-premises. SOTI mobicontrol : Version: 15.1.2.1035 Can you help us?Thanks !
We are currently trying to setup an test whit Windows 10 (Tablet Mode) and Windows Modern in MobiControl but are having different issues, the goal is to have a more locked down user tablet whit Web applications. After enrollment we set an profile whit "Configurations" and a simple edit: We choose "Allowed Applications", in this case we are testing whit MS Edge on a Windows 10 Pro (21H1) device: Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge As for "Start Menu" we just set an URL, when log in om the KIOSK user just created we get the shortcuts but Edge for example does not show any picture og icon. If we add "Calculator", this shows up whit icon and shortcut also works, pressing the Edge shortcut then nothing happens, seems that shortcut does not find Edge as anly application on the information in "Pre-defined Applications". Looking at the AUMID both in MobiControl and on the device is seems to correct, also tried install Edge again form MS Store but no luck. Anyone have an idea on why shortcut does not show up or this type of configuration? MobiControl Version - 15.4.1.4828
Hello Community! I have Soti MobiControl, version 15.4.2.1020 in use. I have a requirement to manage and lockdown Raspberry PIs and Ubuntu servers via Soti.According to the documentation only Ubuntu 16.04 as well as Ubuntu 18.04 are supported. I have set up 2 VMs with 16.04 & 18.04 and cannot confirm that the lockdown works for Linux. According to logs the npm packages are missing as well as electron, but they are not installed by themselves. On newer Ubuntu servers and on Raspbian 10/11 I have no chance to get the lockdown working. Has anyone done this before or is there a trick to use the build-in Lockdown from Soti? I don't want to program my own kiosk browser, because it has to work dynamically for 30 works. Thanks for your help, kind regardsMartin
