Does anyone know the current procedure to push updates to VPP apps in MobiControl (v15+)? I found another forum post that covers the process for v13/14, but much of the console seems to have changed since then, so the instructions can't be applied to v15.
We bought an app and 570 of 574 are allocated or redeemed in the VPP.When I search for the app across all devices, only 560 are displayed. What is correct ? What can I do so that both show the same number?
Hi! We are publishing some apps via Application Catalog Rule to our iOS devices. Unfortunately, none of our VPP apps can be installed on the device (Enterprise Apps or apps without VPP are no problem). When clicking "Install" in the AppCatalog Webclip, it says "Application could not be installed at this time. Please contact your Administrator". We refreshed the VPP token multiple times now. The installation doesn't work for all our VPP apps. The server logs are not showing any related error messages. Can anybody help? (We are running MobiControl 14.5.3) Thank you!
Has anyone else have this issue? I saw a KB article that the version we were on (14.4.4) can cause that so we updated to the latest build (15.1.2) and we still get the error. Also noticed this in the Management Service logs.
Hi Everyone, We just recently started rolling out iPhone for our organization. Currently testing our first device. We have the Apple business program account setup, device assigned, enrolled via the link; had another issue whereby I had to skip the initial remote management after factory reset. The issue at present is the app App Catalog opens in Safari and the link doesn't work. The VPP apps that I have setup as Mandatory does install correctly, both MobiControl and Waze app were installed automatically. The preview shows up fine but the App Catalog doesn't work. please see below. thanks
After we enrolled the device, App Catalog is installed on the device successfully. We have some apps that we distribute via vpp account. Everything was working fine but now It doesn't install the app. When we click install button in app catalog(Web clip that list apps to be installed), Soti give the message of cant be installed contact to the administrator. When ı try to refresh vpp account it says I have just downloaded the vpp token and uploaded it Any help will be very useful Thanks
B2B applications listed as requiring additional input. Had to edit VPP program, select app that was listed only by Adam ID, and manually name and provide bundle identifier. MOBIControl 13.4.0449
Hi, has anybody experience in changing the vpp account? Our company has a new DUNS and we have to create a new account for VPP because it isn't possible to change it. We will use the same account which is already in use with Apple DEP. At the moment we are using an additional account for VPP with our old DUNS. Questions: What happens on the devices if I change the vpp token? I would like to avoid that all VPP-apps will be removed from the devices. Best regards, Marcel
Is anyone else having issues with pushing VPP-licensed apps to iOS 12.1 devices? Any devices we have with older versions of iOS are working fine. This started yesterday afternoon and is affecting iPhones and iPads. Edit: We have noticed this on iOS devices that have 11.4+ installed.
Some other EMM vendors claimed support for a maximum of 256 in their products. What are the limits for MobiControl v13.x and v14.x?
I have deployed these apps as "Suggested" applications in my App Catalog Rules, so the user must navigate to the App Catalog webclip in order to install/update these applications. When an update is available, they click on the "Download" button next to the application. However, on some of my users' iOS devices, after the application is updated on the device, the application fails to launch. Note that although it only affects some users, this has happened when updating any of the applications in the App Catalog, so it is not application specific.
How can we handle updates for enterprise apps, app store apps through VPP.
Due to lack of documentation and the hidden nature of this feature, customers are not aware of the procedure to update App Store applications on their iOS devices.
Due to a bug in iOS, device-based VPP licensed applications have been a source of customer complaints in recent weeks.
