I have a enterprise full of Samsung Tab A (2019) which i want to create a standard image for these. I have managed to deploy the programs i want through Managed Store, I have deleted some programs that i don't want using App Control. Now my question is that the apps i have installed don't seem to create a shortcut but only sit in the apps screen when you swipe up.is there a setting im missing in the store ? Is there a script i can use to make these shortcuts if not ? Device: Samsung TAB A (2019)Soti Agent Ver: 14.5.5.1023
Hi everyone Anyone have seen this issue before? It all started in february. More than 5k Android tablet have this error at check-in (logs mobicontrol) now. Deployment Server error (Failed to retrieve and issue Client Certificate. Device may not be able to communicate on subsequent connections.) The enrollment time (in the Information tab) for this tablet is 2015-10-20. If we go to Certificates tab in Mobicontrol, we actually see that the certificate will expire in 2 months (April). The thing is that we checked all our deployment server certificate and the expire date is in 2030 same as the Mobicontrol Root. We are on the 13.4.0.5519 version Thanks
Good morning everyone, I´ve got a question about device Deployment without Internet access. We are new in the SoTi environment and installed v15.2 last week to use it for remote support our Warehouse WiFi devices. Our devices are from Zebra (TC7x) and Samsung Tablets (testing with Galaxy Tab A 10.1).The firewall IPs are configured on the firewall like in the manualhttps://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.2/en/setup/installing/soti_services.html and a "Global Proxy" is configured in Soti Global Settings. The server itself is running fine and has internet acccess without any problems. The Problem is: We want to deploy the Samsung Tablets in a firewall isolated WiFi without internet access, but access to the SoTi Server. Our local SoTi supporter gave me a script: {"android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_TIME_ZONE":"Europe/Amsterdam","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LOCALE":"de_DE","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PROXY_HOST":"<PROXY IP>","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PROXY_PORT":"<PROXY PORT>","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SECURITY_TYPE":"WPA","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_SSID":"<SSID>","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PASSWORD":"<PASSWORD>","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_COMPONENT_NAME":"net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork/net.soti.mobicontrol.admin.DeviceAdminAdapter","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_SIGNATURE_CHECKSUM":"hn8mSNJMPcovWbnnWrb-uMpWZjNlNp-jyV_2A-Whumc\=", "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_DEVICE_ADMIN_PACKAGE_DOWNLOAD_LOCATION":"http://<FQDN of INTERNAL HTTP SERVER/PATH/FILE>.apk","android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LEAVE_ALL_SYSTEM_APPS_ENABLED": true,"android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_SKIP_ENCRYPTION": true,"android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_ADMIN_EXTRAS_BUNDLE": {"enrollmentID":"<ENROLLMENT URL>"}} to create a QR code with a QR code generator software, what we´ve done. When we try to scan this QR code while pressing 3x times the welcome screen on an factory reset device and scan the QR code, it´s stay in "Getting ready for work setup..." and I can see really many connections to the internet which are blocked by the firewall but none to the internal sources.I think this are connections to google play store or anything else.I don´t understand why, because I dep the apk-file locally and also use are proxy which isn´t also working (can´t see any connections to the proxy). I´m sure that we aren´t the only company that want to use Soti on isolated devices/WiFi. The Questions: Is such a scenario working with SoTi?If "Yes", how? What could be your error? The aim need to deploy new Android devices without internet access for the device itself. Grateful for every answer and/or help JayDee
We're using Azure DevOps and App Center When testing and deploying our apps, now we're looking for a way to automate the process of deploying our apps to our MobiControlled devices. Has anyone tried this? I'd imagine I would maybe have to use the Soti API to update the package but I'm not sure if there is a better way.
Hi together, how I can upload bigger files to SOTI for deploying? I have a .pkg file with 1.67 GB size. My problem is the upload needs more time then the login timeout. Can someone upload it from the server or change the timeout time? Our server is in the cloud. Thank you in advance and have a nice weekend Janni
I connected my android plus devices to the SOTI Mobicontrol and my devices are sowing in the Mobicontroldashboard. I can do some simple actions like "Send a message", "Lock" on my devices using Mobicontrol. Now i want to send some configurations like SOTI Surf, Lock Down and some apk files (using package) to the devices. For this i created a profile and set all my configurations and set my package in this profile. But when i try to assign this package to my device , these configurations or packages doesn't get reflected in the devices. Also the dashboard shows that "no devices assigned".i am getting no error message. Screenshots attached. Can you please help me to resolve this issue ? PS: I have disabled my firewall to make sure no port is blocking.
The support page mentions the availability of "Knowledge Base Articles Access" with a description of "SOTI knowledge base articles to find answers to your SOTI MobiControl implementation. Get helpful advice in an easy to understand format written by our support engineers."Great! Where do I find it?? I'm looking for information on disaster recovery configurations. The deployment server config contains things like: "Secondary Agent Address and Port". Seems like a recovery/failover mechanism of some kind. Finding any detailed information about it though seems to be impossible. The online (un)help contains the useful: "Displays the secondary address for device connectivity in IP or FQDN format as well as its associated port."How about a description of WHEN or HOW it would/should be used! Are there any "best practices" documents that explain how to prevent devices from becoming orphans if our data center blows up and we need to bring up the infrastructure in a different location?
In a scenario where Windows, Android, and iOS are involved.
