Upload folder, subdirectories, and files to file sync

I've contacted support and have been told that "since this is not a break/fix issue of MobiControl it is outside of our scope". I'm hoping someone here will be able to help with my scenario. I have a use case for the file sync functionality that involves downloading 507 files across a multi-layered directory of 113 folders from the server to the devices in a quarterly release schedule. When creating the file sync rule I'm only able create a single directory at a time, and upload a single file at a time. This is likely to be time comsuming and prone to error. Is it possible to upload an entire directory, including its subdirectories, and files to MobiControl? Any pointers would be much appreciated.

File upload failed into Android/data folder Solved

Good evening, I'm looking for a solution in order to transfer files through a File Sync rule into this folder: /sdcard/Android/data/it.dedagroup.stealth.movements/files/ Basically it is a configuration file that the app (it.dedagroup.stealth.movements) reads once it is launched. During my preliminaty tests with the remote control I found out that I don't have the privileges to write into the data folder, see screenshot below: I have the same result from both remote control options (plugin and web). Will this impair the file transfer even with the File Sync rule?  Is there any way to grant the writing permission to this folder? Below some details: SOTI MobiControl instance version: 15.6.0.1018 Agent version: 15.3.2.1042 Plugin version: 1.19.2.118 Enrollment type: Work Managed Producer: Honeywell Model: EDA52 Android version: 11 Thank you, best regards.

File Sync Rule Target devices - Model column?

Hi, How do we get more columns here within the File Sync Rule – Rule Target? Currently there is only the Device Name Column, we want to add the Model. It’s really annoying we have to go back to the main menu to figure out the device model.

File Sync with 2 deployment servers

Hi everyone, I have an issue with the file sync. Orignally, we started with a on prem DS/MS server (001). Later we added a second DS server (002) in  a DMZ zone to enroll and keep connection with devices of campus. Now I notice that the file sync rule doesn"t work anymore. Device is connecting to the server in DMZ and tries to download a file from \\onpremserver\FileSync\.... => DMZ server is saying that it not able to find the share. Seems logical, file is on the on prem serve and not on de DMZ server. So how can I now push a file? Create the share(s) on the DMZ server an edit the file sync rule or ....

File Sync - new devices not sync'ing with error "Insufficient free storage on device" Solved

I am just setting up some new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 devices, same model as devices we have used previously. The activation and profile etc add works perfectly. The initial file sync we have though is failing with the error "Insufficient free storage on device" - this is not the case, there is more than 45Gb free on the device (files to sync total <1Gb). File sync is basically pulling down some files from the server to a folder on the device, nothing fancy. It has worked on devices before. Any clues as to what the issue could be now?I can give any more info required if you ask.

Alert for failed File Sync Rule

Hello, we have created a few file sync rules, and they are working quite well, but how can we assure that we are getting an alert if they stop working? I've seen that there is an alert for a successful sync but nothing for the case of a failure. Any suggestions on how to solve that?
