Hello, we want use available TC57 devices in our production area. Is there an possibility to deactivate WAN/Sim Cards? Thank you Gunert
hello,We own Zebra TC57 docker terminals connected to a wired network via charging docks. We restart them with a planned task when they are all wired to the charging dock.Following this restart, some terminals cannot connect to the mobicontrol server via the wired network whereas some can, very randomly.I tried to unplug the wired network and all my Zebra TC57 terminals so it connects using wifi.Following this, the Zebra TC57 terminals are rebooted and all of them reconnect normally but on wifi.I think there is a problem with the soti agent application or with tC57 terminals. We have noticed this problem since an update from android 8 to android 11. SOTI APK: 15.4.6.1013Soti server version: 15.6.5.1018
Updating TC 57 OS to most recent LG U44, after the update i notice a lot of application is "uninstalled" talked with Zebra support and they are saying its because i enroll my devices through SOTI AFW#, and the apps are not uninstalled it;s hidden. I tried sending a script to enable them but still shows as "uninstalled"
Hi, We operate Zebra TC57 handhelds managed using Mobicontrol. The Zebra handhelds come with a default phone dialer app - org.codeaurora.dialer Our handhelds are really well locked down (using the various Mobicontrol and StageNow features) except when this dialer is invoked for incoming/outgoing phone calls. The app allows the user to get out to things like bluetooth share, mms messaging, file system, web browser, camera, video, slide show etc. While we could try and disable each of undesired functions the dialer gives access to (for example SOTI Surf is stopping the user's unauthorized browser access), it would be really good to instead provide a really basic phone dialer to make and receive calls. I haven't been able to find anything suitable. Has anyone has any success in loading an alternative basic phone/dialer?, or has any other ideas on locking these functions away from the user? Many thanks, Lindsay Background information- Zebra TC57's are operating standard 4G mobile phone connections (not SIP) Zebra OS is Android 10 GMS (GMS Restricted Mode) (10-16-10 LG90) Mobicontrol client 14.5.4.1016 server 14.2.1.4394 Default phone app - Phone org.codeaurora.dialer v23.0 Use Case- Grocery delivery drivers running locked-down Zebra TC57s, primarily running a delivery & mapping application but occasionally needing to make/receive calls.
Good afternoon, Is it possible to push a change through SOTI Mobicontrol to Disable Animations in the Developer Options on the phone? We were investigating a couple different routes to improve the overall performance of our Zebra TC56s/TC57s when remoting into them. We found that when the animations were disabled, remoting into the devices tends to be a lot smoother of an experience. Our users work in environments where they have poor cellular signal. Thank you
We have Zebra TC-57 devices in my company. We plan on installing certificates on all of our devices. Certificates on android require device to have Device Authentication setup. SOTI allows via profile Enable Password Enforcement. But I really don't want to allow our users to setup their own PIN, since devices are shared with multiple users. Since PIN is easiest to setup how to enforce that only specific one is used on all devices or is there some other way to allow certificates to work without Authentication that require user input?
When taking the device out of the box, the device has a wedge app that can able you to test it out. You can also take any app that will accept a scan and it will work. When I install the Mobicontrol agent, it strips away all apps that enable the scan function. Now when i go to a test app to scan something, no laser will show when the side buttons are pressed. Why would the agent strip that function away?
