Enroll ELO Backpack in MobiControl

Hi All,

I'm trying to enroll the ELO backpack ES00I4 running Android 10 in SOTI Mobicontrol.
Manually installing the MobiControl and using the enrollment ID results in setting up the ELO device as "work profile". But I want to enroll the device as "work managed".
I also tried creating a QR code, but it seems that the Elo backpack doesn't support enrollment through QR code

I can't seem to figure out how to enroll this device.

Anybody experience with this?

Did you perform any factory reset of the device RIGHT BEFORE trying to enrol with QR code or afw#mobicontrol hashtag?

The challenge with a device like this is that it is headless. That severely limits what enrollment options are available to you since it doesn't have a screen, camera, NFC reader, etc. You might be able to use the DPC identifier method (afw#mobicontrol) if you connect a screen and keyboard to the backpack during enrollment. Alternatively this is the kind of device that might be best handled with ZTE.

Ivo,

As you mentioned that you had manually install MobiControl device agent,  I believe you did connect screen and keyboard to this ELO headless device during your enrollment process as mentioned by Matt.

However, your problem stemmed from the enrollment process you used to enroll, which is bound to get the device to be enrolled in work profile mode   To get the device in work-managed mode, you should factory reset your device, use hashtag/QR-code/NFC to inform the device to switch to your desired AE mode and AUTOMATICALLY download the required MobiControl device agent and get enrolled.
