Just like most other web-browsers, native support of pdf file is not supported in Soti Surf secure browser.  In general, your devices should have appropriate pdf viewer apps installed and registered with the system such that the app will/can be initiated when a pdf file is to be opened.

If you encounter problems  displaying pdf file on your devices, please provide more details (e.g. version & build numbers of firmware, device agent and Soti Surf agent, whether kiosk mode/application-run-control policy is active or not, etc.) and/or screenshots of warning/error messages on your device(s).

Could you kindly let me know what version of SOTI Surf that is currently deployed to your devices? 

Regarding opening PDF's in Surf, we can utilize third-party applications to incorporate a PDF viewing mode on devices. 

In your SOTI Surf configuration profile. Please try toggling on "Third Party Cookies" and "Open Files in Third Party Applications", and whitelisting an application that can open PDF's into your lockdown profile. 

Hopefully, these steps can help assist with a workaround for opening PDF files.
