Is there a way in SOTI Surf to show a downloaded file (PDF) right after downloading it, without the use of menu-bar?
Under SOTI surf privacy options I can see the option to disable downloading or sharing files, but not immediately opening them after download.
Otherwise I'll send a feature request.

The most recent version of SOTI Surf does not have a feature to open the document you are referring to, or any file for that matter, after downloading. You are correct in making a feature request to get this added as it would be a helpfully request.
A work around might be to configure the download location setting to a specific folder on the device and provide access to that folder in the lock-down. I have provided a screenshot for you below.
This way you can still disable the menu bar and they will have access to the file.

Thank you for the suggestion as a workaround. I'm unable to give the users access to that folder due to privacy concerns.
I'll send a feature request.
