how to install new license of device ?

Hello,

we have mobicontrol since several years.

we have buy some new license for device android .

I have receive a mail from soti with a new Guid.

But in this mail, no procedure explains how to install this.

I suppose , i just need to copy past this new guid in a console of mobicontrol (REGISTRATION CODE) ?

must i restart something with the admin utility ?

Hi Christophe,

Thank you for posting in SOTI Central.

I will detail how you can activate a new license key via V14/V15 & V13:

V14/V15:

1. Navigate to https://your-fqdn/MobiControl/WebConsole/home/devices(legacy:main/true)

2. Top Right -> Question Mark -> License Information

3. Input the new key then press "Activate" or "Update"

V13:

1. Navigate to https://your-fqdn/MobiControl/WebConsole/Home

2. Top Right -> Question Mark -> License Information

3. Input the new key then press "Activate" or "Update"

To note, if your environment does not have access to SOTI Services, then you will need to proceed with Offline Activation or authorize the FQDN's found in the first link. And to answer your question, you shouldn't need to restart anything.

No restarting of any of your MobiControl server modules is required.  The device license count will just reflect the latest quantity upon activation with your new registration code as described by JCMOD@SOTI
