Browser for Windows Mobile / ce

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a Browser for my windows mobile / ce devices.
For our android devices we use soti surf, which is working really good, unfortunately the browser is unavailable for windows mobile /ce as far as i know.
We used internet explorer in the past  just a for a few scanner.

At some Point this year we will need to use a browser for all devices and won't have native application anymore. Customization features for internet explorer are very limited and not manageable remotely.

I have a few requirements.
- slight customization options (kiok mode), not necessary but would be really nice for users
- js support, can be a very old verison
- remotely manageable
- no further costs for the browser itself( Devices will be replaced when damaged and not rebought)

I know the devices are EOL but maybe someone had similar requirements and found a suitable browser.
Thank you very much for reading.
If you need any more information feel free to ask.
Best Regards
Florian

Hey Floian,

sorry i can offer you not really a  possibility.

As you wrote the OS is End of Life and not Longer supported.

We are proceeding this Year to Replace the WM/ CE Device with Android Devices and a new Redevelopt Application for Android.

There is a cost associated with it but we use both Ivanti Velocity CE with a browser license and Naurtech also from Ivanti.  You can reach out to them to find out costs for your specific Model.  We are trying to get our devices replaced with Android devices to move away from those scenarios but that is available if needed.

Hey Allen,
thank you for your comment.
We also are moving on from Windows CE/Mobile but we still have over 160 devices and will replace them when ever a device is damaged or not working properly anymore.
If there is really nothing out there as an alternative, then we have to live with that.

Hello Florian Janke,

Following up on this thread.

Discussed it with the team and unfortunately finding a replacement browser for these EOL devices is unlikely unless did wish to explore the paid routes noted by others.
