Soti Mobicontrol Search Service don't start after update

Hey there,

we have updatet the windows server 2016 to windows server 2019 on the mobicontrol testserver and we get the problem that the mobicontrolsearch service don't start.

In the Log Files we can't found an error. the service is started for 1sec and then carshed. 

We are using MobiControl 15.4. We have try to update to Mobicontrol 15.5 but there he say after the update on the webconsole, he try to finish the update and hangs stop by 0%... and the mobicontrolsearch services get the same error.

netframework 4.8 is installed and as java we are using OpenJDK11U-jre_x64_windows_11.0.13_8.

Hi Franko,

yes after the Upgrade 2016 -> 2019 i had the issue to run the Framework 4.8 installation again and then the Soti Setup again.

Then was the Search Service able to Start.

Can you check on Server Edit the System envviroment variables -> enviroment variables ->  system vaiables -> if java_home and MS_Java_Home are having the same value with jdk-11.0.*.

If yes run the MobiControl setup again. then it should be able to start.

It is also possible to install Open Java with an MSI Package.

I use 11.0.14.9 msi, after installing i have to run the setup for mobicontrol again.

Tested with 15.4.2
