Hi,

I want to enroll some Honeywell CK65 devices. As I understood it needs the "Honeywell new gen" agent. I've downloaded and installed version 14.2.1, however when I type in the enrollment ID or the URL, I get an error message "Enrollment failed. Please retry or contact your system administrator".

Agent version: 14.2.1

Mobicontrol version: 13.4.0.5042

Android version: 8.1.0

We are talking about a local server btw.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the post!

Can you please replace the Honeywell New Gen agent from v14.2.1 to v14.1.8 and try enrolling it again?

Kindly share the outcome.

Hi Ivan,

Have you used the same enrollment ID on any other devices and did that work as expected on them?

How are you downloading the MobiControl agent? Is it from Google Playstore or SOTI site?

Are you trying to enroll a new device from box or by any chance this device was previously enrolled on the same server?

Look for duplicates in the database if the device was already enrolled and you are trying to enroll it again. This may be a hurdle for the enrollment.

The CK65 device is a rugged scanner which I would presume that you would want to manage under Android Enterprise Device Owner so that it is a Fully Managed device. I would not anticipate that would be a BYOD model managed under Profile Owner / Work Profile. Therefore, the enrollment mechanism that you leverage will be very important in dictating how the device is ultimately managed. By manually downloading, installing, and running the AE agent you will inadvertently end up with a Work Profile managed device instead of a Fully Managed Device. I recommend Factory Reseting the device and using one of the AEDO methods for enrollment such as the DPC Identifier (afw#mobicontrol) or NFC or QR accessed during the Google Setup Wizard.

Hi,

have a CK65 for Testing and the Same Problem. (Android 9)

Using Soti 15.2 with the Device Agent 14.3.0 Built 1000 new Gen.

Enrollment Failes with the Same Message, for other Scanner it is possible to enroll.

I download the MobiControl from the Server not from Play Store.

Only in the DeploymentServerExtensions Log i found the Entry: System.InvalidOperationException: Unable to match devices by criteria.

ERROR [Android RESTful Enrollment] (77): Unhandled exception on POST

Hi ,

it was possible to Enroll the Scanner with 15.2.

The Setting was activated it was not working , unselect the Option it was working.

Global Settings > Enrollment Settings> Click tool icon > Go To Android section and deselect "Enable Strict Android Re-Enrollment" option
