Lost Location feature after Server migration

Aloha,

We recently migrated our server from onsite to SOTI cloud. During this move, we are not able to view any devices using the locations feature. All my setting are set correctly. We have a data collection rule for our GPS history and the data is being collected, we just can't view anything. Has anyone encountered this problem? Mahalo for your time. Aloha and have a great day.

Hi Van C,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Central,

Can you try sending this script to an affected device: "writeprivateprofstring LocationProvider provider 1".

Let us know how it goes?

Aloha,

I tried using the script on 2 devices. I can see through the logs the scripts was sent. I tried using the location feature and nothing just a loading screen. Not sure if this matters, but if I use Google maps i can pinpoint my location very accurate. This tells me the device GPS is working correctly. Mahalo for the help. Aloha and have a great day.

Hi Van C,

Can you private message me your cloud server # and the Device ID of an affected test device? It will speed up the troublshooting of this issue.

Aloha JCMOD,

My apologies for the late reply i was out on personal leave the last two days. Currently SOTI support tried to "rerun" the server and that didn't work. Today they have asked me to collect adb logs. if the logs dont work I'l pm you the info you requested. Mahalo for your help.

I am having the same exact issue. Is there a fix for this issue that can be shared or do I need to open a support ticket? I also am migrating.

Aloha Seth,

Yes please open a support ticket. Support ask me to retrieve some data for them to fix it. The last thing they asked me to do before the fix was done, was to pull ADB logs, which they will walk you through. Hope this helps you. Aloha and have an awesome day.
