Hi there, We are using MobiControl version 15.0.2.1049, with two type of Android devices (Urovo DT50 Android 9 and Honeywell Scanpal EDA50 Android 4.4) and there is a strange issue about location services with both kind of devices. If I login web console as a built-in MobiControl user and request a device location, I got back the location and it appears on Bing Maps. But if I login as an Active Directory user with the same permission and request a location, nothing happens. There is a "Device located" entry in the logs but nothing appears on Bing Maps. Can you give me some idea what happens when I request a device location? What kind of request goes where, what kind of data come back from where, etc.? Thanks for your help!
Hello, In Android 10 devices enrolled as Work Manage Device the location is only availabe when the Mobicontrol app is in foreground. In the location settings it is not possible to change this configuration. Do you have any idea on how to have Mobicontrol allowed all the time for location sevices?
Hi all maybe you can help me with following issue: We collect device location data and in feature control it's set to high accuracy but sometimes its not able to be located (isn't able to). Then we start google maps on the device which asks "Activate location service for your device..." After Saying "Ok" it's working fine. Server: 15.2.1.1094 Android Enterprise Fully Managed Is there a way of setting it via script?
Aloha, We recently migrated our server from onsite to SOTI cloud. During this move, we are not able to view any devices using the locations feature. All my setting are set correctly. We have a data collection rule for our GPS history and the data is being collected, we just can't view anything. Has anyone encountered this problem? Mahalo for your time. Aloha and have a great day.

Hello all, I have a customer on console version 14.4.9.1034 and they have an internally built application for which they always want the location services enabled. Right now we are manually configuring the setting and then locking out the ability to change it via the Content and Privacy restrictions in Screen Time on the device itself before sending the device to the end user. This causes a variety of issues and the customer is looking for a way to control this via Soti. My question is, does anyone know if a custom profile that can be built to control this setting just as it relates to this one app? To make it a little more complex, they are a mix of DEP and non-DEP iPhones and the iOS ranges from 11 to 13.
We have a requirement for BYOD devices to disable location services as users are not comfortable with IT department collecting this information. At the same time we would like to keep the location services for company owned devices like tablets, laptop's etc. Is it possible to have a separated policy for location service per device OU? I am trying to get location services set up on my TC70x devices. They are running Android 8.1.0 with Android Enterprise. I have set Location Accuracy to Battery Saver in Feature Control. After I deployed this to my test devices I got this pop-up: On one device I clicked "Agree" and the location tab SOTI was able to immediately locate the device. On another device I did not click anything, and later clicked Disagree and for both SOTI was unable to locate the device. Is there a way for me to turn on this setting remotely with a script or something? I cannot rely on users to click Agree on all the devices. Thank you!
Hi Both on location settings for soti and google maps the device fails to find a location. Permissions appear to be set for both but unable to find location Running android V 9, Device agent 13.7.4.1015 Soti mobicontrol V14.4 Any help appreciated

Hello. I have an old MobiControl serves (v11), as bing has deprecated the maps version used in this release, i can´t access to a device last known location. I would like to know if somebody has a sql query which can get me this info, at least its coordinates. Thank you.
Hey hello everyone 1- the first one is about location services in mobicontrol, is there any way to to make it work offline since we are using Mobicontrol in an offline facility? 2- the second question is about the Application Catalog for Android+ devices, the application can't be downloaded, it says on the error that the link isn't working but it actually is , it has been tested in the device's browser and it is working 3- is there a way to take a user/thief 's photo without them knowing about it best regards
