Android Identity Not Applicable (Datalogic Memor10)

Hello,

I have ran into an issue in the last 6 months where our Managed Google Enterprise is taking DAYS to assign a newly enrolled device with an Android Identity (Google Work Account). This process used to be instant.

I had a ticket opened with Soti and the technician that helped me, basically, stated "it is what it is" and there was no resolution besides waiting for Google to automatically enroll the device.

Has anyone had this issue and/or found a resolution?

Does anyone have a way to disable or mute the "Pending Actions" notifications.

Memor10 - Android 9 v2.10

Agent Version 15.4.5.1051

Hi Caleb,

have you tried (if not already the case) to check on a free Wifi or mobile data if it works there instant?
Even it seem to get the information after days (and so a connection to (a) relevant Google server is possible, maybe there are connections blocked causing this issue.

It was an odd fix, but putting the device on an outside network and then rebooting the Memor10 worked. I then was able to put it back on our company network without issues.

Would you happen to know what ports or whitelists are required for Android Enterprise to function?

ex: "android-for-work.gserviceaccount.com"

I also found that this issue was specific for the Memor10 running Android 9 (all versions). When I tested this issue on two devices running Android 10 v3.02.06 the devices created a Google Work Account right away, on our network.

Have you done any tests to see if the problem is only found for this particular device model & firmware version? Or if the same problem is also found for other device model(s)/firmware version(s)?

When we had this Error with the Google Account Creating was that the Ports to MobiControl server was not opend & the Connection to Google Servers are blocked on the Firewall.

Did you have a attempt 1/10 that it trys to create the account ?

Yes, it shows "Account creation failed. Trying again automatically 1/10" and slowly goes up in attempts. I currently have a test device connected to an outside network to try and rule out any blocked ports.

Do you remember what ports / Firewall settings you had to change?
