Shared Device mode - Devices are de-registering

Hello,

Past month or so we are seeing a lot of our devices that are in Shared mode registered with entra being de-registered

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Samsung Active tab 3 and 5 devices
OS 13 and 15
Android

Microsoft 365 condistional access is connected and synced.
Devices once registered are compliant.

Authenticator and Company Portal apps are installed on the devices. We do use app protection policies which is user based not device based. This is to protect company data (cant copy into 3rd part apps, cant screenshot etc.)

I have also excluded users to rull out the app protection from applying but the device would still de-register.

Date and time are correct on the device.

On my test device i signed in and locked the device, left it plugged into power. by the end of the day it de-registered itself. Without me touching it.

Microsoft cannot see any issues on their end from the logs that they are seeing.

Currently ticket logged with SOTI

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Did you mean the problematic devices got unenrolled (and assoicated device license freed up)?

What are the version and build numbers of your MobiControl server?

Hi Raymond,

They are not being unenrolled from SOTI MobiControl. 

The Shared Mode registration to Entra is being unregistered/deleted. If i look in Microsoft Entra the device entry is gone. 

The users who are signing into the device all have correct Microsoft licenses assigned to their 365 accounts.
