Automatically close a Lockdown application when it is inactive for certain period of time.

We have a requirement from one of our customers. They have SOTI SURF on Lockdown, their requirement is to automatically close SURF after a certain period of inactivity. Let's suppose the end user opens SOTI SURF, and keep the mobile device aside. After n number of minutes, SOTI SURF should close automatically. Is this achievable? Or any workaround that can help achieve something similar to it?

Hi Vishal,

Currently at this time it is not possible to have the SOTI surf browser application close after a period of inactivity however it is possible to configure an inactivity timeout which can log the user out of the browser after N number of minutes. To apply this configuration you will need to enable LDAP login as well as configure an intranet gateway at which point you can determine the number of minutes before the user is logged out (between 1 and 999).

Unfortunately if you aren't using or have access to an LDAP server this won't be possible however I believe this would be a valuable feature which others would find useful as well so I would suggest calling SOTI support, creating a case and having the support agent submit a feature request to add the ability to close the application after a period of inactivity on your behalf.
