We're looking to deploy an Android tablet with Soti surf in our visitor centre, so members of the public can access a section of our website.
What we need it to do is, after a certain period of time not being used, return to the home page. Looking in the settings, I can configure an "auto refresh" but that's not what we need.
Is there a setting I haven't seen, or another approach to solve this? Thanks

SOTI Surf does not have a native option to automatically redirect to the home page after a period of inactivity. The Inactivity Timeout setting is intended for security purposes and only logs out the user/session after inactivity. It does not redirect the browser to a configured home URL.
Thanks for the reply. Is there any way of doing this with a script? Not sure if idle time is a variable that can be used.
There's nothing i know of to track in anyway inactivity on the device.
If that would be possible, you could just close and run again the browser on fresh state with your website as default homepage or even better, you just have the single app lockdown in place only showing this website.
Thanks Rafael. The website we're using is one that visitors explore various sub-pages - but they generally leave them on those pages rather than returning to the start, so the single-app lockdown option would not work.
As said, it could work if you would have some kind of indicator for inactivity which i don't see yet available.
A bad but possible workaround, you could mirror the website and track activity via javascript on the side itselve and do a switch back to main page if inactive (maybe with an idle timer in the bottom before executing).
I know this would mean maintaining the website at two areas as i guess you don't want implement this on the normal website on the web. (not sure if you could put it hidden with dependencies like network or so to workaround this as well)
I'm not a web developer but from quick search on the web it could be possible.
