Good evening,

I have to set up the SMTP server in order to enable MobiControl to send automatic E-Mail notifications with an alert rule.

Until a few months ago this was done by SOTI support with a generic SMTP configuration, but now the support is telling me this is no longer possibile on newer instances because of the GDPR regulations.

For this reason I am now trying to set up the SMTP using a gmail account, but there is no way I able to make ti work...

This is how I'm configuring it by following the Google official guidelines:

I tried every "Authentication Type" available, they all fails when I try the connection by clicking on TEST CONNECTION. I also generated the app password within the Google account "Security" section and put it in the "Password" field instead of the normal google account password, but nothing.

Am I missing something?
