OEMConfig Application Catalog Rule

Hi!

Is there anyone who have gotten OEMConfig (Zebra) to work in the Application Catalog Rule with managed google play store.
From what I understand you should be able to add a config to the application when it is installed onto the devices? Like for example Google Chrome which also supports "Managed Configuration"

The data driven UI only renders on 14.4+ from my experience. You may need a server upgrade before you can utilize it. OEMConfig is built on the Managed Config concept but it got an elevated status to allow for up to four layers of nested configuration menus. While the EMMs mostly supported Managed Configs already they had to adjust to allow for the complexity of the data driven UI. There also is a concept of a feedback channel that the EMMs have to add support for and unfortunately SOTI has not done that yet.

Hi!

I can confirm this works on 14.4+. Thank you.

The schema/GUI for configuration is really horrible thou.

Do you know if it's possible to save the configurations in some way?

I agree that the UI is pretty terrible for superuser EMMs and I believe both Zebra and SOTI are working on that. I personally would prefer if they gave you an option to edit the configurations directly in a text window rather than forcing you to interact with the data driven UI. Intune allows for this. If we could edit the configurations directly then we could also copy and paste them off to save them. I manage 40-60 different MobiControl instances and do not look forward to manually setting up OEMConfig in each one. Not to mention the fact that OEMConfig is unitary, combining all configurations together which means we will end up with multiple permutations of it in each environment. Needless to say I will be leveraging the MX XML distribution mechanism until it is discontinued.
