'Enable Agent Upgrade' is available only on those devices who has older version of device agent. If the device has the latest version of device agent, then the option 'Enable Agent Upgrade' is not displayed. Can you please share the Agent Version from the Device Details tab?

Sorry for "boarding" this topic, but i have actually naerly the same issue:

We are on 15.2 and i saw that many agents are not up to date:

My Test device is up to date: 

A same "live" device is not: 

("Same" includes Device Type, Firmware an so on)

The folder settings are set: 

What makes me a bit confused it that on the devices following is "set":

Is there something additional to do?

As Evan already told before there's no "Enable Agent Upgrade" in Device Actions, only Disable.

This issue is still there but if i'm right this issue is still known to Soti and should be solved with 15.3 correct?

But we decided to wait for 15.3.1 and update it then and take a look no thet after taht again.

And for the "automatic" upate, we just got the information from Soti, that the agent has to be in the managed google play and added to a application catalogue rule.

For performing any automatic update to android enterprise agent , you are absolutley right as at first time ,you need to push latest  agent through application catalog rule and assigned to devices as mandatory applicaion but for autoupdate  you also need to use  manage google play profile configuration and it will automatically update agent and other apps too.

Secondly for agent upgrade enabled , There were some tickets reported in the past with 14 series mobicontrol version and most of them fixed too but  to check exactly as per your version   , Kindly let us know if you have created any case in the past for working on that

We have already a case open at soti because of auito update apps not working (only sometimes, not clear why it's happening or not). We are looking for 15.3.1 and then maybe force update over night.

Hey Rafael,

when you are using Android Devices you may not will get an visible " Update Agent" Button.

Only when you have Windows CE or WM Devices then is for very new installed MobiControl Version an Agent with the same Version Number Availble to update the Device.

Thanks for your response 

Adding to the email conversation , once the device checks-in, it will receive the payload that we sent through app catalog , which will set the app-update to auto. This happens instantly.

Now the playstore checks for the update once every 24 hours (As per the time zone) and then updates the application.

So essentially the update can happen anytime in the next 24 hours once device receive the "Managed google play" payload. Also once the offline devices comes back online they do a check-in automatically.

Secondly for some devices if it is not working then there can be a permission issue or i would say  mainly some restriction present on device end either in form of profiles or  google play protect is blocking it to install etc  which also needs some advance troubleshooting to check on those devices.

Since you are waiting for your testing with next mobi control release so kindly let us know if you come across any issue.
