Have you manually clicked the "Sync Now" button in the Global-Settings->Mobicontrol Search Sync Interval pop-up? to force the MobiControl v14.x search module to refresh various data from the MS-SQL database?

Hello,

I've try several time but nothing work ..

I've try to logout after click refresh login again but nothing ...

All were ok inside the MMC Utility also ...

I've look some log users since yesturday because friday all works ...

and i see one person create a virtual folder at 6 PM yesturday ...

As no devices were inside today i delete this folder and now the VIEW ALL DEVICES works again :)

All works now, but why the VIEW ALL DEVICES not work if a virtual folder exist ?

I've try to understand but actually i try to find information ..

thanks for the tip -> sync search :)

Did you ever find out why this is happening? I'm facing the same issue. Every time I create a virtual folder the All Devices folder becomes empty. The strange thing is that I've got a dev environment running the exact same version of MobiControl (15.2.6.1006) and it does NOT happen there. The only difference between the environments is number of devices - ~1,900 in prod and only 7 in dev.

We have many virtual Groups and don't see this issue but maybe it has been fixed in a later version (we use 15.3).

Hello,

on the documentation of version v14.1 i've read this :

Note: Placing filter and virtual groups at the root level can expose devices to SOTI MobiControl users who would otherwise be unable to see them. Consider restricting who can view and create device groups at the root level and review your permissions model for the virtual or filter groups that you do create at the root level

https://soti.net/mc/help/v14.1/en/console/devices/managing/groups/groups.html?hl=placing%2Cfilter%2Cvirtual%2Cgroup

we need to restrict who can create folder and so on ...

Because i search some hours what's happen ..

Hopefully the log help me to find rapidly what's happen ..

thx

Did you use filter expressions to define your vitrtual filter group or just manually drag devices into the virtual group that has no filer expression included?

I use filters, but it doesn't matter. As soon as I create a virtual group everything in All Devices disappears. Even the count goes to zero. When I delete the virtual group everything is back.

I don't think it's a version issue as my dev environment is running the exact same version (installed from the same installer) and doesn't exhibit this behavior.
