IOS devices and WindowsMobile devices cannot connect at the same time

Hello,

as it says in the description I have issues connecting iOS devices and WindowsMobile devices at the same time to the deployment server.

Specifications:

MobiControl Version:          14.4.4.1045 (on-premise)

iOS Version:                      13.4.1

Devices:                            iPhone Xr

WindowsMobile Version:      5.0 / 6.5

Devices:                            MC9090 / MC9190

Root Certificate:                 SHA256 (MobiControl Root CA)

I already figured out that the devices running WindowsMobile were only able to connect to the deployment server, when generating a SHA-1 MobiControl Root CA and binding it on "Deployment Server" and "MobiControl Client Certificate Root CA". Unfortunately the devices running iOS cannot connect to the deployment server on this conditions.

Does someone have any suggestions connecting both iOS and WindowsMobile devices.

I can provide more Information if needed.

Hi Stephan Schmid,

Thanks for posting your concern!

As you have clearly mentioned on the post, the Windows CE devices can be managed only if SHA1 certificate is bound to Deployment server, whereas iOS 13+ devices require SHA2 certificate bound to Deployment server. So, there is a need of two different deployment servers operating in order to manage Windows CE and iOS 13+ devices at the same time. Please raise a SOTI support case(click here) or call SOTI Support team(click here) to assist you in setting up the secondary server?
