Exporting profiles/packages issue.

Solved

Hello Expert,

I am using Mobi version 15.6.0.10.1018

Trying to export profiles and packages to use on the 25 seat test server.

I can download a .csv but am having trouble importing it.

It asks for a zip file but I don't know how to get the exported csv to a zip

This is for Android

Any tips would be very helpful

Exporting Profiles was not a feature until version 2024.0.1 so you won't see that option available in a 15.6.x version. Furthermore you can only Export and then Import Profiles across MC versions that are exactly the same so you can only go from 2024.0.1 to another 2024.0.1 or 2024.1.1 to 2024.1.1. It sounds like you're maybe attempting to export profiles from a 15.6 server to a potentially newer MC version. Even if 15.6 supported Export that still would not be possible for you to Import those Profile exports into a higher MC version.

Thanks Matt, that is indeedy the issue. Differing versions.

Who would you suggest I reach out to see if version 2024.x   is something my company should consider using?
I don't have access to a TAM. We are about to renew, and I would really like convince management that we need Enterprise level support.  -any pointers there for me?

Have Great Day Sir!

Hi Cameron,

From my side in Technical Support. Ideally you want to look at upgrading your MobiControl instance twice a year. This way you can take advantage of new features and also aim to keep yourself up to date with your devices too.

With a tried and tested post-upgrade/post-change process, you should find most issues you have quickly and have a process to mitigate them. You can then focus on using new features to benefit you and the business. All the while keeping in line with best practice by keeping everything up to date.

If you have a cloud based server with us, you can contact us directly through https://soti.net/services/log-a-case/ to make arrangements to upgrade your instance. Alternatively if you host MobiControl on-prem you can obtain the EXE through https://pulse.soti.net/support/soti-mobicontrol/# and follow https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v2024.1/en/setup/upgrading/upgrading.html.

Now regarding Enterprise Support. Your best bet is to contact your Account Manager who will be well equipped to take you through your options and help you decide if it's suitable for you. If you're unsure of who your account manager is, we can provide their email address to you once you confirm the necessary details about you through our log a case form.

Hope this helps!
