Aloha, looking for some help with Subaru Bluetooth connection. We are able to connect our TC 57 to the Bluetooth hand free but it constantly asks for another connection to read the text messages. Can’t acknowledge the connections while kiosk is on. Anyone has any workarounds? Thank you in advance. Have a great day and aloha!

Hi Van, Thanks for posting on SOTI pulse.

Have you tried using Activity Suppression as Lockdown Type and see if you're able to access and grant this permission? Also as this would require more testing and troubleshooting I would recommend you to log a case with and our support team will be readily available in assisting you with workarounds or pushing this as a feature request depending on the scenario.

If you have any additional concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are dedicated to providing assistance and support.

Aloha ENmod, Mahalo (thank you) for your feedback. I placed a ticket with support for further help. I havn't tried using the lockdown in Activity superssion. I would need to check how changing it would affect how we use our devices. I can't remember but i believe there was a reason i don't use that. But i appreciate the help. Aloha and have a great day.

You also can temp. remove the kiosk, tap that message, when the granting screen appears, send a legacy script to the device (identify_activity) and check the logs afterwards.

Then grab the provided bundleID und add it to the kiosk screen as a (hidden) item.

If done so, check again with activated kiosk mode on a device where this message still pops up if you then can access this permission screen. Also check if with that, the user can't access other settings through it.

In addition you may reach out to Zebra if they can add the message access permission to their oem config (if this is even somehow possible to acchieve for a BT device), so the permission is granted silently in the background.

Aloha Rafeal,

Mahalo for your feedback. I did send the script and all it showed was mobicontrol. But noticed that the Subaru is requesting to install a plug in. After allowing the access i was hoping to find that plug in but i don't see anything. its a pain in the but because its constant even after i remove the lockdown and allow access. after lunch break my couriers are calling saying "its acting up again." And there is no setting on the Subaru side to suppress it.  Thank you  for your help. Aloha and have a great day.
