Has anyone else had issues with port numbers in web url's and using the surf:// or http:// or browser:// in a lock screen?

I have a site that most of their url's have url.com:portnumber/restofurl.  I can add these to the surf config as either a single webpage or catalog of web pages. However if I try to call those web url's from the lock screen as one of the browser launch methods it does not appear to pass the url over to surf or the browser or webview.  Before I open the ticket with SOTI Support I wanted to make sure that someone else had not seen this issue yet.

Thanks in advance.

I worked with tech support to resolve the issue.  If you have a link that includes a port number in the url then you have to key the url as surf://http://url.com:port#.  But I was able to resolve with their help.  thanks.

Hi Allen,

Thanks for the post!

Lockdown screen should accept one of the below URI. If you are attempting to navigate to a web page, simply enter the URL and FQDN, for example http://www.Company.com.

http:// - Opens a webpage from within the lockdown.

https:// - Opens a secured webpage from within the lockdown.

browser:// - Opens a URL in browser using the HTTP protocol

browsers:// - Opens a URL in browser using HTTPS protocol

surf:// - Opens a URL in the SOTI Surf secure browser. The SOTI Surf app must be installed on the device and configured with a SOTI Surf profile configuration.

If you still have issues connecting, please raise a support case(click here) or call SOTI Support team(click here) to troubleshoot this behavior.
