Attempting to disable HXLogger via SOTI Mobicontrol

Hello all,

I'm running into app crashes with one of our internal applications and one of the solutions our team thought up of was that HXLogger is the perpetrator. Thinking this, our idea is to try and disable HXLogger remotely, preferably using SOTI.

I've tried several methods including scripts, profiles, and packages to no avail. HXLogger is turned on through Honeywell Enterprise Provisioner and I thought I turned it off there but that didn't work out either.

We are running Android 12 on the Honeywell CT47's. Does anyone know how to disable HXLogger remotely or any place one can start?

Hi,

it's hard for me to believe that these deactivation options don't work. What exactly did you do in your attempt, if you can be more specific?

Hi Remy,

Via SOTI, I tried a couple of scripts that I found here and using the hxlogger package name.

I also created a profile with an OEMconfig as well.

Is your screenshot from Honeywell enterprise provisioner? I never saw HXLogger an option there.

I get zero results when I search HXLogger.

From what I can see, you didn't choose the correct device settings package...There are several options here, depending on which firmware version you have installed...This would be an example:

HON6490Settings_412N-412G.00.13.exe

EP Bundle to be used with Android 12, MR 13 for Mobility Edge Device

Remy,

Changing the device settings package worked. Appreciate the help.

Hi Ruben,

You have to go to Device Config > Honeywell Settings > HXLogger while your Device settings package is HON6490Settings_*.

Radim,

You and Remy were right. When I clicked on the device settings package and set it to the suggested one, I found HXLOGGER without issues.

Thanks again!
