Is there a way to save a weblink as an icon on android devices?

The said link is already on the bookmarks, but i would like to have it on the desktop too

The only way i know is to create a web-app in google managed playstore.

There you can add the link (if it's https, the type of GUI) and the icon.

Then you assign that like a normal app.
