Zebra MC93 with Android 13 - No longer installing Parallels from Google Play Store

We have had an App Profile in place that installs the Parallels Client from the Google Play Store since June 2023.

We got an MC93 back from Zebra with Android 13 on it and now when it get's to the install the Play Store says  “Your device isn’t compatible with this version”

Yet we have an MC93 Android 13 with the Parallels client installed on it, which would have been done this way.

We can install via a side load of the apk but not via Google Play Store. It's as if they have the play store configure incorrectly.

We have contacted Parallels but they won't help unless we have a RAS Server licence, but we don't have one as are just using RDP into a Terminal Server.

Please note we have also tried on an MC93 with Android 11 and have the same issue.

Anyone got any further information, or will I just need to configure the install to be via side load.

Hi Andy,

the problem you see here is, that parallels have defined in their apk the Android versions it's build for.
Until this is the case, you will always see this message and it won't install (even it would work).

So, as long as they deny to change this in their app provided to playstore, you need to sideload it.

Have you tried aligning the OEM version on the repaired device with the ones that work correctly?

Thanks for posting on SOTI pulse. Have you checked if the issue exist only for the specific application you have mentioned. Are other applications installing fine on the device? If the issue exists only for the specific application it would like be due to the reason Rafael has mentioned in his comment.
