Hello, im trying to have acces to bluetooth settings and expand the status bar and access to settings shortcuts in a TC57 with soti lockdown activated, enrolled in work mode in a 15.5 Mobicontrol server.

To be able to access the bluetooth setting I configure a button with: com.android.settings/.Settings$BluetoothSettingsActivity

In native mode it works fine, but i can not expand the notificacion bar to access the quick settings... so i try with the activity suppression method, but then the bluetooth button doesnt work but i can access to the quick settings in the notificacion bar.

In summary, when the Bluetooth button is working (native mode), I can't access the quick settings in the notification bar, and when I can expand the notification bar and access to the quick settings (activity suppression), I can't launch Bluetooth settings button.

Is there any way for me to have access to Bluetooth settings and the quick settgins in the notificacion bar?

Hi,

Have you double-checked that "Native Notifications" is enabled in Lockdown Settings for Native? This should enable the use of the status bar. Please note that Android 9 and above is required for this functionality to work. I hope this helps.

Hi Sasan, thanks for your help!

Yes i have tried checking the Native notifications, it allows me to expand the notification bar and see the notifications, but the quick settings (Wifi, bluetooth, flashlight, auto-rotate...) doesn`t appear.

Could you please verify that the right permissions for Bluetooth is enabled in "Settings Manager"

I prefer to do this via Feature Control Profile instead:

But this won't give access to do this in the status bar.

Try to add com.android.bluetooth as an lockdownitem instead if this maybe it will help.
As this is a zebra device you may need more (maybe hidden) items to be added.
If i search for bluetooth on a TC51 i get those:

  1. Bluetooth: com.android.bluetooth
  2. Bluetooth MIDI Service: com.android.bluetoothmidiservice
  3. Bluetooth Pairing Utility: com.symbol.btapp
  4. com.symbol.mxmf.csp.bluetoothmgr: com.symbol.mxmf.csp.bluetoothmgr
  5. org.codeaurora.bluetooth: org.codeaurora.bluetooth
  6. Zebra Bluetooth: com.zebra.bluetooth

Hello Sasan and Rafael, thank you for your help.

I have verified that the Bluetooth permissions are correct; in fact, in native mode, I have no problem launching the Bluetooth pairing screen.

In the end, I used the Bluetooth activity com.android.settings/.Settings$ConnectedDeviceDashboardActivity, and it seems that this would work in active suppression mode.

I will continue testing it.
