Disable Microsoft app PIN

Hi all,

On our Android Galaxy tablets, which are all work managed devices, we require users to set a device PIN/Password for their screen lock but when using Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Teams, Edge, etc. it asks them to set another PIN. This could be the same as their screen lock but having to enter the PIN multiple times isn't ideal, anyway we can disable this requirement? Tried looking in the managed app config for the Microsoft apps and didn't see anything along those lines. Would this need to be a separate compliance policy?

If you are using O365, maybe there is an active policy on O365 side, which forces the user to set a PIN for their office apps (Conditional Access or similar).

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse!

As mentioned by Simon, it could be an active policy on 0365's side. Did you get time to check that? I also found a  Microsoft's page, where customer is mentioning the similar issue not with Mobicontrol but with one of our Competitor's MDM solution and is facing the issue on only Android 10. Do you have Intune MAM policies (aka App Protection Policies) configured for users? Even if a device is enrolled in a different MDM or simply BYOD, any device could be impacted if you have a policy targeting users.

Those policies can be configured to enforce app-level PINs that are separate from a device PIN.
