Lockscreen flexibel buttons

Solved

Ask if the following is possible and if so how.
I have created a lockscreen and linked it to a folder under which 200 Samsung S7/S8/S9 tablets are linked.
Now it is just that some tablets must be provided with an extra button that opens a specific app on the tablet. and each tablet has a different app that is specific to that tablet.

I can make a new lockscreen for each tablet, but then I will have 200 different lockscreens.

Can this be controlled through a profile so that I can send a specific adjustment (button and link to app) to 1 tablet?

Hopefully someone has a solution for this

HI Arjan,  Depending on the MobiControl server version and kiosk html template used, both custom attribute(s) and/or customized javascript codes in the template file can be used to support your use case of using a single  profile & html template to support diffeerent kiosk item(s) on different targeted devices.

I'll have to wait for my colleague then since he can create javascript codes and I unfortunately lack knowledge of them.

Thanks for the given info

Please try this:
1st of all provide (maybe) a seperate lockdown profile for the tablets (one for all of them)
2nd setup a custom attribute where you write down what the app bundleID is
3rd point to this custom attribute inside the lockdownprofile for this specific app

Please try this first on a test device if it works as expected as I'm not sure if pointing to custom data or attributes works in this configuration part.

Do you actually have 200 different apps with unique bundle IDs for these tablets or is it 200 different web links with some sort of unique identifier for each tablet? If it is a web link you can use Custom Attribute Macros in the web link URL so that you can have one lockdown across all devices.

it's a great question of Matt.

@Arjan if you can share more details with us, how you can group/structure them then we may provide more idea. I'm also wondering what is the maximum/minimum lockdown items on your devices that you want to present. In addition to the application all the other system apps (if applicable) is same for all devices?

One other option if Rafael and Matts ideas don't work for you, though I haven't tested (my apologies).

You maybe able to assign the bundle ID to the custom attribute

Create a package containing a cmd script with the contents - start %CUSTATTRIB%

Add menu item to lockdown as "custom" and script:///<path_to_file>/myscript.cmd
