Regarding iOS application policies: apps support both user‑based licensing and redemption codes. However, I have consistently failed to import redemption code files into the system. Could you please advise whether there is an available template for the redemption‑code import file, as well as its detailed specifications? Your support would be highly appreciated.

Please find below some common reasons why imports may fail, along with the recommended resolutions:

  1. Incorrect encoding or BOM present → Re-save the file as UTF-8 without BOM.
  2. Additional columns or incorrect header names → Ensure the CSV contains only the required single column.
  3. Codes already used or in an invalid format → Verify the codes with Apple or your service provider.
  4. App not linked to the ABM/VPP token or account mismatch → Confirm that the VPP/ABM configuration in MobiControl is correct and that the app matches the App Store item for which the codes were generated.
  5. Region or account mismatch → Ensure the codes were generated specifically for the correct ABM account and Apple region.
  6. File size or timeout issues → Try importing the codes in smaller batches.
  7. Insufficient permissions → Ensure that your console user has the necessary permissions to import codes.
