Zebra TC75X Nougat > migrate to entreprise ?

Hello,

We work with soti in version 15.5.1

we have a lot of Zebra TC75X under android 7 -> 02 07 08 with lifeguard update 02 (may 2022).

We try to migrate these device to android entreprise, but every time we receive this message:

1 selected device(s) have Android Enterprise migration in progress.

A certificate is place to mobcontrol for to migrate to entreprise we ask this to Zebra.

this certificate is active with the date :)

If I search on google, i find there is some criteria for to migrate:

- OS Need to be 7

- Zebra MX need to be > 9

- no google account

ALL criteria seems to be respected -> version of MX is 9.4  / no google account

someone have any idea, why i can not migrate  ?

Last thing, device was migrate before to entreprise ... because i make some test

But i make a factory reset  re install the OS 7 + re enroll into mobicontrol

Hello,
If device is stuck in the migration process you can send the Legacy script command retriggermigration to reinitiate the migration process.

Which agent version are you using when migrating?
I had most success with 14.5.5.1023, if you are on some older version you can also consider to upgrade the agent before migrating.

I personally have never trusted the DA->DO direct migration process given that it was never supposed to be possible in the first place. I was quite surprised when Zebra and SOTI came out with this process but by that time I had committed to Factory Reset and Re-enrollments on legacy DA environments that needed to migrate to DO. This is the approach I personally have taken. You can enroll A7 devices as DO even so you could unenroll your existing devices and then re-enroll them under Android Enterprise and then upgrade them to A8.

I fully agree with Matts response.

We also decided to factory reset those devices aand r-enrolled that because the process in total is easier, more secure (regarding success rate) and you have a "fresh" device setup which is also fine.

Hello all

@matt, @ralf thanks for reponse

we have migrate to mobicontrol in version v 15.5.1 for this option -> Migrate..

But we never try to re enroll a device migrate to DO in DA ..

If i look on the panel device detail of this device, i notice for property  :

Android Enterprise Migration Statuts -> pending 

@ralf -> the version of the agent is 15.1.2.1075

If i delete the device who was migrate to DO , factory reset re enroll into DA and execute your script it's work 

the option migrate is ENABLE ..

yes ..

@all -> I continue my tests and we will see if we choice to:

- make a factory reset and re enroll into DO

- or use this option migrate
