Deprecation of Printer Management from SOTI MobiControl 2025.0

SOTI MobiControl will transition its Zebra printer management and support to SOTI Connect upon the launch of SOTI MobiControl 2025.0.

What is SOTI Connect

SOTI Connect is a component of the SOTI ONE Platform that offers an enterprise-grade printer management solution. It ensures the complete lifecycle management of mobile and industrial printers, including Zebra and other OEM printers.

What you need to know

The following applies to customers managing printers with SOTI MobiControl:

• Customers interested in upgrading to SOTI MobiControl 2025.0: If you plan to upgrade from your current SOTI MobiControl version to 2025.0, first transition your printer management to SOTI Connect. After removing all printers from SOTI MobiControl, you may upgrade to the 2025.0 version. Review the steps for migrating Zebra printers from SOTI MobiControl to SOTI Connect here.
• Customers choosing not to upgrade to SOTI MobiControl 2025.0: If you opt not to upgrade and maintain an older version that supports printer management, these capabilities will remain functional.  
  However, starting February 1, 2025, SOTI will cease support for Zebra printers managed by SOTI MobiControl. This cessation includes new features, maintenance releases, and technical support. Examples of technical support include:
• • Standard Support
  • SOTI Premium/Premium Plus Services
  • SOTI Enterprise/Enterprise Plus Services
  • Any other or additional customer service and support agreements

Migrating device licenses from SOTI MobiControl to SOTI Connect

To ensure continued access to software updates and technical support, customers will need to work with an authorized SOTI reseller to migrate device licenses from SOTI MobiControl to SOTI Connect on or before January 31, 2025. If you are unsure which authorized SOTI reseller you currently work with, your SOTI Account Manager can help.
