How to Permanently Disable Personal Hotspot Settings From iOS Devices

The administrator wishes to disable Personal Hotspot and prevent users from modifying the Personal Hotspot settings on their iOS devices, using In the SOTI MobiControl web console.

To configure settings that disable the Personal Hotspot, follow the steps below:

1. Login to the SOTI MobiControl web console.
2. Open the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
3. Select Profiles.
4. Under Profiles, select the specific profile name that you want to modify and select Edit.
5. Under the Configurations tab, select Feature Control.
6. Disable the Allow Modifying Personal Hotspot Settings option.
 
7. Save and Assign the profile to the correct device group.
8. Open the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
9. Select View Devices.
10. Right-click on the device group that you want to disable the personal hotspot and select Advance Configurations.
11. Under the Advance Configurations window, select the Apple platform and select Personal Hotspot Settings (iOS Only).
 
12. In Personal Hotspot Settings (iOS Only) window, enable the Apply changes to all Child Group and Devices option. This option applies settings to all child groups and devices.
13. Enable the Disable Personal Hotspot option.
 
14. Select Save.
Once completed, the Personal Hotspot on iOS devices in a specific device group will be disabled and the device users will not be able to modify the Personal Hotspot Settings on those devices.
