Microsoft Excel Displays Inaccurate ICCID Information in CSV Report from SOTI MobiControl

Summary

After downloading a *.csv report from the SOTI MobiControl web console containing device details, the ICCID information is incorrect when imported into Microsoft Excel. Other device information such as device name, model, and status are correct.

Symptoms

The ICCID information in not properly formatted in the *.csv file, causing it to be missing or unreadable when opened in Microsoft Excel.

Cause

The ICCID information is in the device details section of the SOTI MobiControl web console.

Issue Resolution

  1. In Microsoft Excel, select the Data tab in the ribbon menu.
  2. Select the From Text/CSV option to import the downloaded *.csv report into Excel.

  1. In the Text Import Wizard, select the downloaded *.csv file and select Import.
  2. When the *.csv file is loaded, from the Data Type Detection dropdown list, select Do not detect data types.

  1. Select Load.
  2. Verify that the imported ICCID information is correctly displayed in the Excel spreadsheet.
