How to Change Credentials for the SOTI XSight Service User Account

Follow these steps when updating the credentials for the SOTI XSight service user account, whether for an upgrade or to address SOTI XSight synchronization issues.  

This applies to any version of SOTI XSight. 

1. Open the SOTI XSight console.
2. Select Settings>Integration>MobiControl Integration.
3. Note the username of the current service user.

4. Navigate to SOTI MobiControl and select the main menu.
5. Choose Users and Permissions then select the Users tab.
6. Expand Local Users and locate the SOTI XSight service user noted previously.
7. Right-click on the user and select Edit.
8. Modify the username or password as desired, ensuring the user retains administrator permissions, then save the changes.

9. Return to the SOTI XSight console.
10. Select Settings>Integration>MobiControl Integration.
11. Update the user information.
12. Save the changes to finalize the service user update.
