Hi, we have about 1000 MC33 with Android 8 Now our new purchase has only Android 10 MC33 devices. Our problem is now i cant stage the Android 10 devices when the DeploymentServer certicate is SHA-1, so we changes to SHA-2 and staking worked. But after changing to the SHA-2 certificate the Android 8 devices cant connect to SOTI anymore. Any solutions ? Kind Regards
Hi, I can see SharedDeviceLogout as a function on Mobicontrol console and as a REST API (POST Devices/Actions). However, I haven't been able to find this as a script command. Is there such a command available? As I need to be able to run this function when a device has been out of contact for x minutes, the action action available in mobicontrol is to execute a script. I've only recently started to dabble into Android Enterprise (in which I have gone via Managed Google Play). One of my customers need their own Gmail accounts signed in to the devices alongside the Managed Google Account, but for some reason when they're adding their Google account, the AFW one seems to be removing?I suspect they're deleting the account as there doesn't appear to be a way of stopping them from deleting accounts but you can change whether they can add accounts. Can someone point me in the right direction here?
Hi I'm trying to install an APK file (CityBon). I had to manually get the APK off a samsung tablet through an application called "ES File Explorer". I made a package with the APK and i'm receiving these errors.
Good Morning, I am trying to update several of our apps on our devices. I am getting a failure on some apps and it reads "Failed to install i/o error". I have tried repackaging the APK, Finding a different source for the APK and so far no luck. Is there a script available that I could include in my package build? A script to maybe uninstall the previous version of the package? I wonder if i am confusing the device on what it should install.
This is something I can't wrap my head around.When using native lockdown system information works just fine on some devices but won't work on others.We have about 100 devices running with CK65 that work just fine in native. With these settings:While a PS20 does not show any system information: With exactly the same settings, I even tried to use the same template.But it didn't help. Why do some devices work fine and others don't?I generally just use activity supression but sometimes you just need to hide some buttons (like home and recents) and these features area a lot harder to setup otherwise.
Hello! We are managing Samsung Galaxy devices as Work Managed AE devices. When trying to edit any permissions in any app, this is not possible because it is blocked by MobiControl. It affects apps from Managed Google Play and from puplic Google Play. The apps have all their requested permissions activated (Location, Storage etc.). Even after sending the following script, the apps installed after its execution have all permissions activated and not changeable by user. afw_set_permission_policy deny or afw_set_permission_policy prompt What is the cause of this behaviour? We do not execute any scripts when enrolling these devices.
Hi, My enrolled Android devices got a System notification several times a day which says "Apps can access your location". That's annoying and i can't disabling it cause it's a system one... Hello everyone,for a customer I need the following function:The customer must be able to access the screen presentation function in the SOTI lockdown screen via the notification bar, as he has to lock the screen in landscape in a certain application.If I use the Settings Manager for this, it will always be automatically switched to portrait.Auto rotation is unfortunately not an option either, as the customer then has problems with his application.A Zebra TC25 with Lifeguard 94 is used. SOTI version is a cloud with the current version 15.3.3.1065.Thank you for a short feedback.
Having a hard time with the SOTI infobesity. Too much information. There is so much I don't need but I can't tell what the minimum steps are. Hopefully someone can outline best practices for me. 45 - Zebra TC70 and TC26 Profile for changing PEAP username/pw for Wifi - Installed and working Profile Install Velocity package - Install package but can't launch No special permissions, users or groups needed Need Lockdown screen with Velocity and Chrome access to one internal URL I have created and synced the 2 Profiles to one device. Wifi works and I have been able to change Wifi username and password. MobiControl app shows Velocity is installed but I can't launch it. I only have experience with MobiControl v7 which is very different. I need to understand the order of operations, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Curtis

Hi all I've set up a photo sync for our devices which works well but ideally I'd like to prepend the file name with the device name to help identify the photos. I've tried doing this as follows... but the filename just looks like this when it syncs. %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME%IMG_20210824_144205_1.jpg I've also tried %DeviceID% %DEVICENAME% and %ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME% but nothing seems to work. I'd appreciate any advice you could offer.

Morning, I have been asked to try to get a few tablets ready for a few of our visually impaired employees. Since we are running in Kiosk mode and the launcher needs the patch to launch said program I input the path into the LockDown settings and all it is returning is package not found. Example: Google Accessibility Suite Launch://com.google.android.marvin.talkback I have tried the samsung voice reader as well or the tts and get the same results. Any ideas? For Android+ I have setup a package that has files that need to be in place before APKs are installed. Does the order of files listed in Package Studio matter? Is the order an install order? I can't seem to reorder so do I need to delete everything and make sure my file copies are at the top of the list? Yes I do sometimes get an error that the file is not in place (but not always).
