Hi everyone, Currently i deploy around 200 A01 device for my client, and i just found out that after 2 device update to Android 11, we no longer can Remote Control the device (A01 not supported by Knox, only ELM). We can only do Remote View. Since RC is integral feature for my client, is there a proper way to prevent or completely disable Update in Samsung A01 device? Currently i se postpone feature in Profile to prevent update, but the postpone option only can postpone for 60 days. Any help is welcome :) Thanks & regards, Randy Saputra
Good afternoon, I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade one of my test devices to agent 14.4.7 and how I could go about doing so. I recently downloaded SOTI's newest APKs for SURF and Settings manager. I deployed it to a single test device with a test profile first in order to ensure the app will function properly before deploying to our 600+ devices. I noticed that the Settings Manager app is giving me a message that says "Update agent. You need MobiControl Agent 14.4.7 or higher to use this feature." I would like to update my agent on my test device so i can make sure the apps and remote capabilites funtion properly. we are currently on agent 14.1.4.1010. samsung tab a 2017-2020
I have a conflict that I have a tedious workaround to right now that would like to solve with one action. We have a backlog Android 7 devices and now with the new hardware using Android 9. The difference in the camera app is in the package name org.codeaurora.snapcam vs org.codeaurora.snapcamera. Is there a wildcard optioning for the Launch:// package name that would allow me to use either naming of the camera or is the only option here to have a second profile fully setup with that new camera name? I was also interested in the Script File setup, but have found very little in helpful notes. Would be something interesting to be if apilevel is 24/25, use snapcam; if 28, then use snapcamera?
We are taking on a ne group of devices which are currently on Airwatch. The customer does not want to do any interaction with thedevice to enroll Mobi. They want to setup a package on Airwatch and then have teh APK auto install and activate all options required. Basically they don't want the device user to have to be involved in anyway, There are 2 parts to this.1. Creating a package on Airwatch that will install the mobi apk (Samsung ELM). I believe the best way for this may be using the .apk and the .ini. We don't currently have access to or any experience with Airwatch so that is probably not a question for here.2. Have the apk launched from Airwatch and then run through the install process. We can't have any questions from either the os or the app. Using the .ini this should eliminate the need to input the enrolment id. We still have to accept all permissions and run though a lit of settings on the device. Is there any way around this so that the apk will install, pickup what it needs from the ini and just run and activate silently? Can anyone help with either part but really part 2. Please and thank you. EDIT: We are using Android Plus classic, not enterprise.
Good afternoon. a cordial greeting. I hope you can advise me with this case: We have managed entreprise teams, so we need to know if the MobiControl agent update can be pushed massively in these without realizing it directly from the play store manually or avoiding pushing it by package since it will be the complete apk. Thank you.
Hello - hopefully this is possible. I have searched the forum, help pages and looked in the Mobicontrol options and was not able to find any options for this. Is it possible to setup a policy to enable options for "Use network-provided time" and "Use network-provided time zone" and disable the ability to make changes?

Recently after having some reported reboots and crashing issues on some of our devices, we logged into the Mobi Control web interface to fix and verify the settings on a few of the troubled devices, and noticed that the server hardware/resource utilization was around 50-60% constantly with no stop. We've noticed that all of our devices are constantly checking in, non stop, once or even twice every second. Almost every active device is now exhibiting this behavior. We attempted to update our server and mobicontrol version to hopefully alleviate the issue. These are the specifications before the update. MobiControl Version: 13.4 MROS: Microsoft Server 2012 R2MS SQL Version: 10.50.6000Devices: Android 5.1.1Agent Version: 14.0Device Type: Zebra TC8000 & WT6000MX Management system version: 7.2.10.3 These are the current specs after applying updates and updating the server: MobiControl Version: 15.3.1.1151OS: Microsoft Server 2019MS SQL Version: 13.0.5698Devices: Android 5.1.1Agent Version: 14.4.1.1064Device Type: Zebra TC8000 & WT6000MX Management system version: 7.2.10.3 We were able to successfully update the SQL database, the Server OS, the mobicontrol version, and agents on the devices. The check in behavior has remained after these updates and has us stumped as to what might be the root cause of the issue. We're not sure when this behavior started, as we noticed it when we another problem surfaced and then noticed this behavior. Any insight from your team would be greatly appreciated.
Occasionally, a couple of our T56s and T57s will ask for a Google account to use Google Maps even after they have been successfully able to use the maps for months at a time. Our only method of fixing these have been to have them factory reset but have seen the same ones come back some time later to have the same issue. Is there a fix for this that we are unaware of? I assume it is an enrollment issue as I always thought that it pulls the Google account from the enrollment.
Hello, we have a problem installing Android update on Xiaomi Redmi 9A. Our devices are Android Enterprise. we use them in lockdown mode. So end users can not press the update button. Android system update message is displayed on the top part of the screen when scrolling down. also the "update' button is active and displayed near the "Information about the phone" after You enter Administrator mode and open "Settings". Tried sending script. writeprivateprofstring SystemUpdatePolicy SystemUpdatePolicy 1 apply SystemUpdatePolicy did not help. Phone simply seem to ignore it. Apart from message from the top of the screen disappears for some time. restart also did not help. when i try to install update manually in administrator mode the device asks to approve automatic update installation. Obviously the the script did not work. after proceeding with update device is asking to confirm if the update can be downloaded through the gsm connection? In update settings, there is "Download using mobile data" option which is obviously turned off by default. perhaps someone can help please with knowledge on how to configure all those settings using Soti Mobicontrol?
Hi, Can anyone tell me how to know/verify the data consumed per month by the MobiControl AE agent (and AE plugin)? [Version: 14.4.9.1034] Thank you in advance. BR
We are having issues enrolling Samsung A32 devices into Mobicontrol, the process fails on the creating google account part, we have been able to enroll other device models using the same rule, bot running Android 11 but the A32 devices always fail on the account creation, in the logs is a 'Empty Token' error. Has anyone had a similar experience and managed to resolve?

Hello, Currently we try to enroll Samsung tablets in SOTI after a very good experience with Honeywell CT60 devices knowing almost nothing about the "Samsung world".Now, after some days we are still struggling to find a "fast and clean" solution to stage/provision these devices. The first surprise was the "SOTI MobiControl Stage Programmer" where on the WiFi options we had only OPEN/WEP/WPA association modes without the posibility to chose 802.1x EAP (required in our environment)...so a no go scenario? After this we've tried to use the "afw#mobicontrol" method which has worked but based on the agent type (Agent Version 14.5.3.1017) with limited functionalities (Supported APIs Remote View, Work Managed Device)I would really appreciate from somebody with a know-how experience a "little help". Thanks!
