After doing a factory reset, I click 6 times on my screen in order to read QR Code (To download Soti Mobicontrol) but it comes out an error message saying qr is not correct. Also I try to enter afw#mobicoltrol on google account window but does not come up after a reset... and if I enroll by downloading agent from docs.soti.net it works but I cant use remote control and apply configuration profile to the device does not work. We are surprised that we do not know about this flow since it does not appear on the network config diagram: According to the online help: sendreport Sends a debug report from the device agent to the SOTI ftp server. This script ask the device agent to send a debug report (all following files) to the SOTI FTP server through the port 22 and without passing through the MC server (DS/MS). Since we are concerned about the security of our devices, we have some questions : Is the FTP flow used by SOTI (not SFTP) secure? If so, how it is secured? What is the authentication mechanism? Is it a one-way flow? Or is it two-way? From device to the SOTI FTP? From SOTI FTP to device? What types of files can transit through this flow? In case SOTI is attacked, what would be the possibilities for the hackers and the consequences? Are there other flows of this type that do not appear at all on the network config diagram? Hi, I need to start an app with args. I use intent: to launch it, but it has a negative effect - the app always starts with main activity. Now I use hoff://ru.hoff.tablet#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;S.data=custom_data;launchFlags=0x20002000;end Is there any way to launch an application with arguments that it doesn't switch its screen after pressing the home button and launching it again? Hello, We want to use a tablet in our stores. We do this by using Mobicontrol and the lockdown function.Previously we had a problem opening PDF files downloaded from the default website we set.To solve this, we used Soti Surf and set it up completely to your liking so that the PDF files could simply be opened in the browser.Because administrative actions have to be done on the tablet and a physical keyboard was required, we switched from a Samsung to a Lenovo P11 PRO tablet.This is the moment when our big problems started.However, the linked keyboard from Lenovo starts a 'Productivity mode' where Soti Surf is started in a small window and can no longer be used fullscreen.Unfortunately, this mode cannot be disabled, which is also confirmed by Lenovo.Soti Surf can therefore no longer be used and with that we have to rely on the 'https: //' function to be able to start a browser fullscreen in a kiosk mode.Here we only run into the PDF problem for which we previously switched to Soti Surf.As soon as you try to open a PDF file in the browser, you will see that the screen flashes white for a moment and then nothing opens. Like if it is blocked some how.We can confirm that the PDF is being downloaded, but it will not be opened.We've tried a lot but we just can't figure out how to fix this. Hence the call for help here!Does anyone have any idea how we can fix this?If we cannot solve this, we will have to switch to another tablet that is also considerably more expensive.Surely there must be a solution for this? Hi guys, i recently enrolled some Samsung A01 devices to MC with Zero Touch and Android Enterprise enrollment. Everything going well, but as per yesterday, 1 user come to me and show the MC apps in his phone show this notification : Grant Permission to MC : Your It administrator policy requires that you grant all permission to MC. Revoking permission may put your device at risk and could result in corrective action by your administrator. I am not really sure what happened, since the device going well before (about 2 weeks, the device enrolled around 8 April 2021). I tried to unenroll the device and re-enroll it again, but after i unenrolled it from console, the MC in the devices still show that notification. It;s like the device as not unenrolled yet. Hi, it's possible to obtain data from custom attributes and send a script to device? like this: On SOTI server have set this custom attributes on each device set manual her own PIN code and by script send: resetpassword %CustomAttr:PIN% -bypass_secure_startup but dosn't work, is blocked by default or custom attributes is used for other pourposes? If I send this script showmessagebox %SERIALNUM% It works and show me this macro, but don't work with custom attributes
We have a facility using Windows CE Apps that connect with Oracle. We need to move them off of the old Windows 9090 and 9091 devices they are using now and get them on Zebra TC72 devices. Does anyone know of an emulator I can run on Android to run these native Windows CE apps? Thank you!
I am currently using Android Enterprise to manage my Samsung Galaxy Tab A's. I can perform a remote control session fine with the tablets but when I open our Clover Go payment processing app the screen goes black on my end? Is this a config setting in SOTI or could it be Clover is blocking this for security purposes?
I have seen previous posts alluding to how it is possible, using Stage Programmer, to specify the agent version when enrolling a device int Android Enterprise. I have Stage Programmer on m phone and do not see where this can be specified. I see WiFi Configuraiton Device Details Mobicontrol Enrollment details but that is all. I am able to open the camera from the activation screen, scan the QR code, and get the device enrolled but at no point during this process am I given a chance to select a version, I get whatever is the latest. From what I can see there is zero difference between using the QR code and the affw#mobicontrol method other than I save some typing I don't know if it matters but I am using Mobicontrol Cloud and I do't seem to be able to change the agent version there like I can when I enroll in Android Plus-- there I can decide to inject a new agent into my system or leave it set to some previous version, I dont' seem to have that option for Enterprise. If it matters I am using Samsung Galaxy tablet devices . I searched the forum and have read comments where "this has been asked and answered many times before" yet I cannot find the answer itself so I apologize if this seems a bother. The guy at SOTI couldn't answer me today and I am still waiting for his email with the instructions so all I have left is this forum. Many thanks, Matt

Hi there, is there any way to catch the bluetooth address of a device and automatically enter it into Scan2Connect from Zebra? Right now the user gets instructions on how to get the bluetooth address from the device and then enter it manually into the app. This is not really satisfiying. Any ideas would be great. Hi there,I'm trying to find a way to install different Google TTS voice packages to a device, without installing every voice pack manually. Our customer wants to give the users the possibility, to choose which voice he wants to hear (english, romanian, hungarian, turkish, and so on) in the app they are using. After initial set up, only german and english voices installed. Until now, I didn't find a solution via SOTI or MGP. Maybe I can create a package and push it to the devices, but where do I get the voice data from and will this be recognized from Google TTS? Maybe there is any intent? Thanks,Daniel
