MobiControl 15.2.3.1033 Agent 14.4.1.1064 Samsung Device OEM Version QP1A.190711.020.A505FNXXS5BTJ4 Samsung devices updated to the latest firmware are returning a Device APIiD of 840. As this was urgent I had a guess at what should be in that table and came up with the following. APIId = 840 Description = MCW.enums.DeviceAPI.SamsungKnoxV34 APIName = SamsungKnoxV34 The change works in so far as the devices will now enroll but does not display the proper API name in the web console. Is there a script that needs to be run to add these new API levels to the database properly? Hi,An app has been deleted from the Play Store catalog (I don't know why). Therefore, it has been deprecated from our work managed catalog. And it has been automatically deleted from the devices where it was installed. How can we avoid this? is this behavior normal? Thanks. Regards
Hi, is there any possibility to have multiple lockdowns on one Android devices for different users? For example the lockdown always asking for a password, after entered you're seeing what you're supposed to see. Or is it only User or Administrator mode? Hello,To understand my question a little better, let me first explain the problem, that led to it. We are using a third-party application, which main features are to keep track of routes and deliveries. For example, where & when is it delivered/collected, or tracing of a driver with the possibility of live updates. A requirement for most of these features, would of course be a (nearly) constant GPS signal.Here lies the problem. On our third-party application, the GPS signal is turned off every time we activate lockscreen (screen goes dark, while the device is still operating in the background). Meaning that our application is neither transmitting nor collecting any data.But this can be avoided as long as the screen stays on active. - Which leads to my question. Is it possible to force the screen on our devices, to stay activated at all times, not allowing our drivers to physically turn the screen off by pressing the power button?Meaning that as long as there is charge on the battery, the screen will stay activated, unless we as an administrator tell it otherwise. As a bit of wishful thinking, we would like to take it even further, so that the screen could switch between maximum brightness and minimum brightness, with the press of a button. I do understand this might would be asking too much, so a feature like that, is defiantly only a second priority. Hope someone can support us with our "little" problem.Kind regards Joachim
Hello everybody, I have a Galaxy Tab S6 device, I used to install Work Managed mode for this device (factory the device then enter afw#mobicontrol code when asking for Google account entry), the device is still active work normally with the Work Managed Profile. However, I deleted the device from the SOTI MobiControl system for a while.Today, I re-enrollment this device to connect to the SOTI MobiControl system, of course I still install the above steps, but the device no longer works with the Work Managed Profile. I ran the test by creating an Anhdroid Classic Profile and assigning it to the device, strangely enough, it worked. I still don't understand where the reason is.Has anyone encountered a situation like this yet, please help me. Many thanks!
Hi MobiControl server - 14.4.9 Agents - various compatible Devices XCover 4 and XCover 4S In order to diagnose a problem I need to uninstall Chrome updates but I'm getting "The app is required by your device administrator and cannot be uninstalled" This is regardless whether I have Chrome in the Play Store as a Managed App or not. Any and all suggestions welcome.
Hi all maybe you can help me with following issue: We collect device location data and in feature control it's set to high accuracy but sometimes its not able to be located (isn't able to). Then we start google maps on the device which asks "Activate location service for your device..." After Saying "Ok" it's working fine. But in this mail, no procedure explains how to install this. I suppose , i just need to copy past this new guid in a console of mobicontrol (REGISTRATION CODE) ? must i restart something with the admin utility ? thanks for your explanation
Hello together, i need to get the Zebra MC 93 with Oreo 8.1 connected to our WLAN.I created already two profiles for the device to push the certificates manually: The certificates are already installed on the device but i can not choose the certificate for the WLAN the CA and client certifacte are not choosable in the WLAN. Do you have any idea what the issue should be?Which format does the certificates need?

I had initially setup a personal email account that binded to our company name for a test a while back when learning android. since it's my personal account how would I go about changing or binding to another google email account can I just remove the binding and then bind to another account when I'm in google play under Apps is the Organization Information, should I delete from there and then go to Soti and delete the binding? two reasons I'm asking, 1) is because it's my personal email 2) when I deleted the binding from the soti global setting I noticed that when I went to enroll a new device it never went into "work managed device" it wanted to go in work profile which I didn't want, when I put the binding back it worked as desired I'm using stageNow which is on my android devices If I'm in soti mobicontrol and go to Android enterprise bindings and click on New, it takes me to google play and says "You have already signed up with this enterprise"
hello, we have some new zebra MC930B hand scanners and I need to get the mobi control agent on one of these for now. I don't want to login and download via the google play store because others in our dept will also need to install the soti agent on a few of these devices also. In short I need the "mobicontrol Stage" app download to install on these android devices so that I and others and get the soti agent installed and talking to our soti server Update: I can install the mobicontrol agent by scanning a barcode on soti's web site. Then I enroll and seems to work however I'm in remote view, I can't remote control now researching this
