I am looking for a way to trigger StageNow on a Zebra MC9300 to consume an XML. I would like to do this with JavaScript because I need to edit the XML with device data before I consume the file. The only way I currently know how to trigger the device to consume the XML file is with a legacy script but really don't want to have to run 2 different scripts to edit and consume the file. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, i want to disable Apps on a Honeywell CN80 with Android 11. On my other Phones in the company, i can enable Apps with following script: enable_system_app com.sec.android.gallery3d Is it possible to disable Apps with the same script, but with the disable in front of it? Or is it possible to do it with another script? Thanks for the help.
Good afternoon. Some of our Android Enterprise devices have started updating to Android 12. Our devices are Samsung Tab A7 Lite. I checked our Enterprise profile which contains our feature control and configurations. I was not able to find an option to Disable OS upgrades. We also have older devices enrolled in Android Plus and the feature control for this profile does have an option to disable OS upgrades. Is there a policy script I could send to our Enterprise Tab A7 lite to disable the upgrade? I am okay if the script expires after a set number of days. I am going to continue reading through the forums to see if I can find a good solution. I am also wondering if there is a script available to disable the new android 12 permissions setting "Remove permissions if app is unused"
Hi, does anyone know a way/script to write into an existing ini file? I tried several things regarding javascript but i'm not familar with javascript, so i don't know where the Problem is. The file is located in the /sdcard/ folder and we are working with 15.5.1 and the latest agent versions.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to prioritize wifi connections on Android 11. Our tablets are connected to a hotspot in a vehicle and would like them to connect to our wifi network whenever they come back to the yard. They do not automatically connect to the wifi because the signal from the hotspot is stronger than the access points. Is there a script to run when it enters a geofence or is there a better way going about this problem?
Is there a way to do this with android devices? It used to work with windows mobile. ; Description: Show message to device user set msg="good to go" showmessagebox %msg% I get a messagebox open on the device that just shows %msg%
New SOTI customer here. I have enrolled a few Zebra TC8300 Android mobile computers and I'm trying to push OS Updates to them with file sync and then run post script: install_system_update /sdcard/HE_DELTA_UPDATE_10-16-10.00-QG-U120-STD-HEL-04.zip The file is transferred, but the script doesn't install the update. The same script works if I just "send script" afterwards like this: . What am I doing wrong?
Looking to see if anyone else knows the other command strings for pulling up the "Special Permissions" for apps, in particular MobiControl, such as this one: start activity com.android.settings/.Settings$OverlaySettingsActivity This one in particular brings up the "Draw over other apps" Setting menu and we are using this assigned to a Launch:// button on the Dynamic Lockdown (which is set to Native). I am trying to write a script that will open the 5 permissions that MobiControl is requesting but can not automatically set - Draw Over Other Apps Manage External Storage Write Settings Notification Access Usage Stats Currently when the notification from MobiControl comes up after the initial installation, sometimes pressing the MobiControl Notification will NOT bring you to the corresponding menu and the user will have to exit out of Lockdown then go to settings to manually change these. While its a shame that these permissions can not be set automatically I know it is a limitation Android has implemented. The end goal that we are trying to reach would be a single button that would bring up the settings menu one by one so the user can set them THEN change the Lockdown to one that does not have that button any longer.
In the release notes for Android Enterprise Agent 15.2.0, it says that there is now the ability to 'Install, uninstall and set/get preferred Access Point Names (APN) on Android Classic and Android Enterprise Work Managed' Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this? In the past we have used the APN profile configuration, but this seems to fail more often than it works these days. https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/android-agent/release-notes/152/android-enterprise-agent-maintenance-releases/
Looking to add a button that would run a MobiControl script to the lockdown screen, this script would reach out to MobiControl and install a specific package. The use case is as follows: we have two packages that contain of our proprietary app but two different versions, Im looking to make it so people that are testing the versions can press a button that would run a script to uninstall the currently installed package of the app and install the selected package without leaving the lockdown screen
Hello, I'm facing an issue trying to automate edge and other browser (cannot use SOTI surf for this sadly..) cache cleaning. i have seen a tons of post regarding cache cleaning but mostly using wipeapplication. Something that we cannot use at all. Too much troubles caused by the total wipe. Is there anyway to have a script ? Seen DDMOD@SOTI saying that it was on the roadmap Any news or any other ideas. Automatic script/Button on the lockdown all accepted at this point.. Thanks in advance,
I read another thread that indicated there is no script to automatically log users out of shared device mode after a period of inactivity. This should be in a future release, but is not yet available. As an alternate solution, we have planned downtime with the units and I would like to schedule an auto-log-off event. Is there a way to schedule this log-out event? (e.g., 1900 every day?)
