Hello, I have a small issue with the camera function in SOTI Surf. As shown in the picture below, every time the camera function is used, i got to choose an action between Camera and Files. This is a little bit annoying to always click "camera" before the camera is activated. So my question is, how can i set the camera as the "default action", and not receive this option every time the camera will be used?
I have an application that I installed on our Zebra ET51 tablets running Android 10, this app has a gaming function that requires to open a web browser which is SURF in our case. so the app opens a new surf tab when hitting that game function, but it stops on a blank page and does not display anything. I added the link of the of the app as a webapp directly in SURF and it is working fine. any help and/or suggestions is very much appreciated. Thank you,
Same issue as mentioned a few times already (but cannot find an answer)With Soti SURF:Download document from our company website results in "Download Failed"Download document from any other site, works fine With Google Chrome: Download document from where-ever works fine (also from our intranet) there are several topics on this, from long ago OR very recent, but I cannot find any solution.
Hello everyone, i want to disable the feature drag to refresh on soti surf. Is there any way i can configure this setting? I am running Soti MobiControl Version: 15.2.3.1033 and Soti Surf Version 15.2.1.6
Hello, We have a problem related to some pre-scan-action which ends with an unwanted html page reload in Soti Surf browser but works (the action is not performed) in Google Chrome. We use some web application which is used for a pallete scanning purposes (like WMS). The app officially supports Chrome, Firfox, maybe others but Surf is not mentioned there. When a barcode is going to be scanned with device, just before the code is send to the html form a Page re/load action is performed so the code is filled to a wrong form fields then. We have checked the device settings for a prefixes, sufixes, data formating etc.. but the main catch (and reason why am I asking here) is it works in Chrome (which cannot be easily lockdowned as Surf). So the question of mine could be: Do you know if in Soti Surf / MC settings lockdown etc.. is somehow related to this behavior or so? I am aware this is a large topic where could the issue be - THIA for any clue I cab focus on..versions:MC: 15.3.0.6713Agents: 14.5.1.1074Soti Surf browse: 15.3.10Devices Zebra MC3300 Android 10 Thanks & Regards Tomas PS the app logs show something like this: 8:27:31:59 Page Load Action Handler {"key":"","element":"","elementId":"","elementIcon":"","action":"onload:function","attr":"OnLoad","initHandler":"","responseHandler":"","failureHandler":""}
I am suddenly getting this error in soti surf when trying to log in through a google account to a website Error 403: disallowed_useragent They are running Android 8.1 agent version 14.4.1.1064 and surf version 15.3.2 build 3
Hi all, I'm trying to set a dynamic URL in SOTI surf through a custom attribute. Creating a custom attribute "WachtZaal" in the device settings page, type "Text" + option "send to device". On the device, I fill in the custom attribute with a value. In SOTI SURF, I configure the URL with the custom attribute: device_id=CustomAttr:WachtZaal&token When launching the SOTI SURF app on the device I get the warning: kiosk device CUSTOMATTR:WACHTZAAL not configured wich means the program can't find a device called CUSTOMATTR:WACHTZAAL in his configuration. So it seems that the custom attribute is not being replaced with its configured value. Any advice? Device is a ZEBRA CC6000 with Android 8.1.0 / Agent Version 14.5.1
We are migrating from wince devices to android. And the browser we are using in the wince device is behaving different comparing to soti surf. In the webpage there are multiple input txt lines. The end user has to fill this in with nrs.In the win ce browser: the user types and when the field is full of characters the cursor moves to the next field and the user can keep typing.In Soti surf: the user types and when the field is full he can't type anymore and has to select or tab to the next field.Is there a way to configure soti surf so that the user does not have to manualy tab or select the next field? The page consists of a lot of input fields and it would add a lot of extra work for the end users.
Due to various reasons we need to be able to acces a local html page that contains javascript on our devices.However I can't seem to add file:/// or file:// in the soti surf config. it only allows http and https.I know its a strange setup working with local html pages but the local html page passes a unique identifier to the real urls that are used by the users. So I can't make the .html accessible with a webserver because there is a minor difference in the .html for each device.So is it possible to access a local .html file using soti surf? And if not, is it possible using another browser that is in a sort of kiosk mode? We are using the android lockdown to lock down our devices.
Hi, We are trying to publish Google Sites using Soti Surf on a couple of locked down devices. sites.google.com is already whitelisted. Everything works well except when accessing external links on the sites pages. Google Sites replaces the direct links with Google redirect links that starts with "https://www.google.com/url?q=". For testing purposes, www.google.com has also been whitelisted. Clicking on external links with the Google redirect links give the "access denied" error message. However, doing a long press on the links and choosing "open in new tab" works perfectly. What else should be whitelisted to allow opening of links with Google URL redirects in this scenario? Regards, D.
On Android you can send a script "sendinfo net.soti.action.surf DISABLEPULLTOREFRESH 1" to disable this feature. But is there a way to disable this on iOS as well? We have several iPads with a link to an external site, where the site logs out the user if they scroll down.
Hello, I was wanting to know if it's possible to disable the bottom bar only in the SOTI Surf browser version 15.3.1.7. Our end users keep hitting the back button on accident when trying to click a webpage button in the bottom left hand corner. So I was hoping there is away to either disable the bottom bar or even just the back button to prevent this from happening. I have tried using kiosk mode, but this makes it impossible for our end users to switch tabs. We are running MobiControl version 15.3. Thanks, John
is it possible to clear the Soti Surf Cache into the Kiosk mode over a button ? We have an Zebra TC72 scan gun with a 8.1.0 Androit OS. I read that the script : sendinfo net.soti.action.surf clearcache will help for this, but it don't work into the Kiosk Mode. I can run the command over a rule and it works without any problems, But I need a button so the production employees can reset the cache by themself. Regards Leahcim
what would be the best way to run this script and ensure once set it doesn't default back to 100? I run the scrip from the shell on one device remotely: sendinfo net.soti.action.surf BROWSERZOOMLEVEL 170 so can I setup a script to run daily or once is enough? would it ever default back to 100 or can I use a policy in surf to set, I didn't see on as of ye Thanks should I run using a "script"
